Huh? I only ever see the top banner and that small one above the recent threads... never had such a popup. Do they happen in other browsers aswell? I'm using Opera at home, and IE at work, that never happens. It might be tied to your location?

W1zzard will correct me if I'm wrong, but none of the ads on the site should cause you to have popups. You probably have some adware/spyware/whateverthehellware that's escaped your notice.

Don't believe he would do that either as he would want to annoy people like hat would he now.

You might have some kind of system infection what makes these pop ups happen like from installing a crappy tool bar or some other program..

Maybe it be wise to check your system with S&D \ Ad-ware at least to see if any thing dodgy is on it.

Just remember web site owners can get a little chaCHING if you click on the adds! I actually do a couple of clicks on them when I am on the main page in hopes that it helps fund TPU and W1zzards project work....I think TPU is worth a couple of clicks any day!

The pop-up thing is somthing else.

you need more than a click.

many of these ads are linked in to smart software that tracks what you do afterwards - opening a link and closing it immediately, likely wont help TPU.

Opening it, browsing around for a few minutes and maybe making a purchase - that'll get TPU ad revenue.

Thats true you should click a link in the window that opens up originally..When you purchase from the link the pay out is normally larger and if you visit the site and browse around a bit and click a link on their site they get smaller pay but at least some payment.

Common sense is the true key ... I personally don't block them as I may want to help the cause with some clicks and viewage.
Hell I have a 37" LCD, I think I can afford the slight loss of LCD realty.
