Benchmark Scores Enough for me
My gpu is recognised in GPU-Z but not in adrenalin. Also the fans don't spin on the gpu at all

Tried my 6900XT but no life, so tried an rx470 and still no signs of fan movement.

HELP!

You plugged the display cable into the gpu?

Odds are your model will have a fan auto-stop support which turns off the fans while there is little to no activity on the dGPU. Double check your cabling as suggested.

Are the PSU cables to the GPU all correctly fitted?

Also, you mentioned GPU-Z and Adrenalin. What does the Device Manager say?

Remove card, try display driver uninstaller in safe mode to remove the Radeon drivers. Shut down, install card, install latest drivers.

OP we need specs of your system also...

Double checked and I was indeed plugged into the mobo. Connected to my RX470 now and just going to try and bench it to see if it works

My specs are current.

bloody annoying isn't it? I still make these errors when switching between iGPU>dGPU and the lengths i go to troubleshoot before finding the obvious has driven me nuts in the past (most likely to repeat in the future too). Glad you found the culprit.

Hmmm.... you tried to remove the cmos Batt for 10sec? then re-enter video settings but by default regardless it should auto go for your card

Just ran Unigine Super Position and it completed. However, when I try to open Adrenaline I get this....

I'm going to reinstall the 6900XT now and see what happens. After that I'll DDU and reinstall.

Hmmm... I'd try "Making a restore point first" but install driver booster LINK but only install the video driver

Make sure to restart in safe mode before executing driver elimination... ensuring a proper clean-up.

For adrenaline.... if unresolved, try AMDs "compatibility tool" which is linked in your above image.

Absolutely no. Drivers straight from AMD is the only way to go. No point in getting some third party "booster" ever.

Well just put the 6900XT back in and its not detected in gpu z or device manager.

How do I get to safe mode to ddu?

First you need to download Display Driver Uninstaller and extract it somewhere. Then, boot into Windows, and press SHIFT while clicking the reboot command, it will show you the advanced boot options. Then you select Safe Mode. Alternatively (on Win 10 or 11), you can open the Recovery menu in the Settings window, there should be a Restart Now button on a Advanced Boot section, it will do the same as the shift trick.

Safe mode DDU, back to normal win 11 install adrenalin latest and still nothing. Thinking 6900xt is dead...

Does not sound good. Double check your modular PCIe power connections on the PSU before calling it a dud.

A cold start-up and or a CMOS reset have you tried?
I swapped cards without issues having not unplugged the psu and power switch drain the remaining charge in the system before.
Not so much success with the z170 rig, need full reset and the likes.
le: is the card equipped with dual bios? Flip the switch.
@JrRacinFan works with the rx470 , which needs a 6pin extra power connector, but as you say it doesn't rule out.

Correct but the 6900xt requires more than 1 PCIe power connection. There are some 470's with a single 6 pin some with a single 8 pin.

Tried cmos reset and reconnected the pcie cables to the psu. Nothing.

My RX470 is 8pin and 6900XT is 22pin.

There is no 22 pin..

Put in the 470. Run DDU for "clean and shut down."

Put in the 6900, make sure all power connectors aren't pig tails. DISPLAY CABLE GOING TO GPU.

Photos would be better no ?

2 8pins and a 6 pin = 22?

I did those instructions and nothing at all.
