OFFICIAL Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim (Discussion)

Well I'm back again to show the fruits of my labor :). This time though using my tweaked ENB, RCRN, and RL + Dynavision. I must say it looks better than before. Check out the pics.

I just got a 200mb update through steam automiatically but i opted out of the 1.5 beta. has it officially been released?

yep 1.5 has officially released.
 
I don't see anything on Steam about it, but I'm running the betas anyway.
Hope they update the CK soon.

I like enhanced shaders for a while. then i tried like the top 14 others on nexus including Superl3's and didn't like it. Yeah its good for taking pictures, but I couldn't play with them. So i run my custom config for RLwC and Dynavision. and then like 10 other texture mods including the Static Mesh Improvement. Which is a mod i highly recommend to get some of the game content too look like a PC 2011 game rather then a console game from 06.

Yeah mine just updated also. About a 200mb patch.
 
Yeah was running the beta too; short list but nice additions/fixes.
 
Looks like both Skyrim and the Creation kit have been updated.
 
Yeah, I got a 16.1MB update for the CK
 
1.5 makes everything a lot better unless your username is "TheMailMan78".
I saw that on the Bethesda developer's forum. :p

I'll try to make a tutorial but it will take a substantial amount of time :). Just kidding. The problem lies for different configurations inherent to PC's. I'll just make a general tutorial to cover the most important aspects. Krej, I'll take a sweet snapshot when I encounter a dragon ;). Nvidiaintelftw, I hear you man. I remember using an ENB configuration for the 1st time. Everything looked white-washed. That's when I started configuring my ENB's. I also know that Static Mesh Improvement. It really is a big step forward w/o using Tesselation.

i never noticed the white washed lol. but i didnt configure my own. I used like multiple others from people that a lot of other people liked. I might try the Superl3 again, but last time I did everything looked like it was painted with a glossy clear coat. I also tried RCRN a while back and I had really bad stutters with it like every 10 seconds. It was almost like rubber banding, and if you look at my system specs I shouldnt have much of a problem lol
 
I think the newest version of Superl3 (I think 0.53b) removed most of the vaseline covered people:laugh:. The problem for me with 0.53b is that the DOF no longer looks Bokeh DOF. Btw, I'm still using Superl3 0.52 but tweaked to my preferences. I think the newest update of RCRN happens fix the performance dips (I think). I'll make a comprehensive guide with tweaks I made including some performance enhancements (steroids anyone :laugh:). I'll also include texture mods that I've used and hopefully it works out for those who will try it :toast:.
 
Ill most likely stick with my Realistic Lighting config and Dynavision along with my crap ton of texture mods and such. I like the look, and performance.
 
Well, I'm not trying to persuade you or change your mind. Your entitled to your opinions. Likewise I am also entitled to my opinions. I posted and shared my config and screenshots because I wanted others to see what a bunch of mods can do to Skyrim to give it the look it deserves. If the mods I listed happened to have had left a bad taste in your mouth, you don't need to bash it. Like I said its hard to please everyone given the fragmentation of PC gaming. We don't share the same system configuration. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm rebutting your previous statement. Well, anyways may I ask if your using the built-in AO in the Nvidia control panel? Does it look the same as the ENB's? Does it have the same color correction? I havent seen Nvidia's AO. If you use it, can you please share some pics. I greatly appreciate it. TIA :)
 
I am back playing Skyrim PC. I played and finished RAGE PC (Dam way too SHORT).
Anything new with Skyrim? Such as updates and performance improvements along with enhancements in PQ.

Did he bash it?.....I saw him mentioning he preferred his own, but didn't see him bashing your work:confused::confused:
 
No one was bashing anything, just stating their opinion on how they liked/disliked certain mods and configuration.
Everyone has their own opinion on what looks good (as KK stated, beauty is subjective), and having people post various options for configuring the game is a good thing for all of us players.
If someone doesn't like the same thing you like, don't take it personal. :)
