ok thx... I've tried the TESVAL.dll mod, and I don't get any improvment whatsoever in any areas in the game (up to now)

I've noticed a tiny teeny little +1 FPS in whiterun... but then again...

I used a save point and 5fps boost is there. If the rest of the games running with the 5 fps boost i could not say.

My save had one ai in it which stands still ( my mule ).

Had Process Monitor application running in the background to see how much RAM Skyrim uses for about and hour of game play.

The Max memory usage was 805mb while the average was 709mb
Maybe it's due to the detail settings I am using.

Lol, no my young girl occasionally comes to watch me game but well, that mod does also the faces here: High Res Face Maps for Men by Geonox : http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4141 So I guess I'll try the hi-res faces for men.
I have to, because the females now look great, and the males have like 128x128 textures or whatever vanilla was (it's 512 but looks like 128 though).

Hmmm, I have your exact issue. I thought it was because I'm running an old core 2 duo at 4Ghz, but you have an i7 at 4Ghz

just as an FYI, but thats system ram used - not video ram. its system + video that causes crashes under the 2GB address space ceiling (pre-LAA anyway).

I just picked the face textures and deleted the body ones, until someone makes something nicer, hopefully not nude

Can anyone point me towards a LARGE Armor and Weapons Retexture Mod ?

I've seen a lot of "specific" armor retex... but not a WIP or Overhaul type of mod... Anyone know of a mod of someone currently "retexturing" EVERY armor and Weapons ?

Was also wondering for my 2x 6950 is clock speeds influence FPS that much in skyrim since the game is very cpu bound...

I'm running them at max overdrive limits right now (+20% 840/1325)

thx crazy eyes, I guess it's still early for what I'm looking 4... There are some nice retex out there, but not a BIG overhaul...

Kind of like Skyrim HD, which gives you a retexture for a complete city...

i can tell you now the armor and clothes retextures i posted above are better then you think in terms of before and after in game, hard to tell from the actual images he posted but it does make a difference, clothing especially looks far better. and less well flat and boring. its a taste thing,

but essentially if your using FXAA injector the too above mods help,

no FXAA injector and well then it looks like shit.

as for actual armor retextures most people wont bother with that yet. simple because without the Creation kit to smooth the process most dont want to bother with it, as the creation kit allows for 3d view in game to see how well the changes worked, right now its create file test in game leave game edit relaunch game = pain in the ass.

far better quality work will be available in bulk later on, but like everything else most modders doing large projects will probably wait for Creation Kit like me im not touching a god damn thing untill its released.

I understand, and yes I do agree that the mods you pointed out look great... I was just wondering whether someone had taken the time to retexture say "all the light armors..." or all the "heavy armors..."

but yeah, definitly, there will prob be more then kit comes out for sure

I hear that sentiment but I prefer a physical copy of the game to sit and look pretty next to my computer shame that Steam is the only place I have seen it on sale all holiday season though :/

$40 is a great deal but so worth the $60 I paid for it on steam the day it came out. I am sure with all the expansion packs I will pay over $100. Thats ok I don't mind giving bethesda my money for such a great game.

I would agree with you if it actually came in a nice box instead of just a cheap little DVD case. The supposedly "premium" map I got for pre-ordering is nothing special either.

Doing the quest for the luxicon (whatever its called) to septilus. He says to talk to someone. Its that blue ora in the doorway to leave. I talked to him but I can't do anything. I can't leave since hes blocking the doorway, I don't get warped anywhere or nothing. Is there something I'm missing here?
