I'm calibrated at work and at home (IPS) and see it is a very very light grey, but also agree it is still too bright compared to the very very light blue everything else. It looks fine on my HTC DNA, but not on any PC.

I definitely suggest having a dark theme one can select in the former 'user cp' once you get the functionality bugs worked out. :)

It does feel kind of brigth to me but I noticed i didn't had the settings that I usually have on the monitor.

What's more:
I have to yet calibrate my own, since I didn't took the time to do it yet for some reason, and also, it's a TN screen so my opinion probably won't be good on this, but i can see it's just a little gray however it doesn't make much of a difference for the yes currently, i'll find a way to calibrate first i hope i don't need any device ...

That's awesome! But every time I hit reply it scrolls all the way down to the bottom of the page, so I have to scroll back up to continue reading or hit reply on more posts. That is kind of annoying, but I can live with it.

I would remove that too, but I feel sometimes I do use direct reply instead of multi-quote. I guess I don't mind it that much but still, this kind of removes the point of customization. If it's about UI clutter then i guess an option of the Reply button function could be added in profile settings.

After you view a thread it won't show up in those lists if there aren't any new posts.

In Watched Threads scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on "Show All Watched Threads" and it will show all the threads including the the ones with no new posts.

In "New Posts" at the top click on "Recent Posts" and it will show all the posts including those with no new posts since you read the thread.
thanks for the explanation! i added the "recent posts" link to the navigation, right in front of new posts

Thanks

oh, that's way better

That's odd, RuskiSnajper quoted my text, but it is saying it is from n3rdf1ght3r's post above mine. A bug in the quoting system?

In the mobile version I can't see system specs. Any tips?

it shows the same post id for the quote, maybe an issue with the select quote feature

edit: if you select text in a quote box click reply, it will reply to the post containing the quoted text, not to the original post

It almost looks like I get alerts for every person who replied to my quote or did @Aquinus to me, not just for those posts but for posts by the same user later in the same thread. I could be imagining it though.

The only nit pick I have thus far with the new forum layout is too many thread titles stay Bolded due to being physically tied to it vs visually like the old forum. It makes it hard to distinguish what is a new thread you've not seen unless you actually click on it.

I don't particularly care for the popup text when floating your cursor over threads either, but that can be avoided by just keeping the cursor to the left edge of the screen.

Hmm ... i remember clicking on reply and deleting a few times ... but i can't remember what i did exactly.

On my Droid I don't see the link for system specs if I have my phone in portrait mode, but if I rotate it to landscape mode the linke for system specs is there.

This isn't really a mobile site issue, if you shrink your browser window down so it is really narrow the same thing happens.

There's no seperate mobile "app" like the other iteration in VB. it just dynamically adjusts to the res of the device.

You guys are gonna hate me but im just not getting along with this new forum layout... I really miss just going to TPU in my browser favourites and being able to see the box at the top showing the newest posts and the latest news articles.
This new forums feels like I start the forum inside one of the old subsections and have to work hard to find something of interest.

I understand that you guys are far too ahead to ever turn back on this but I just wanted to share my opinion. I usually welcome change and im sure I'll just get used to it.

Thanks for changing the "Likes" back to "Thanks" :)

for some reason i stopped getting email subscriptions to this thread.

seems like email alerts only happen for certain posts, some threads more frequent than others

Maybe many posts get mentioned in one email, not sure, the thread I created in Games section gave me frequent emails and I saw many posts mentioned into one.

But I still don't have enough details to explain this, i'll start paying more attention from this now.

@Mussels are you getting this??

You know, I thought I would miss those two boxes too, but the Recent Posts Section works for me. For the latest News articles just scroll down to the news forum section and click it.

Reading a news item on the main site and clicking on the authors name opens the mail client.

The whole home page at this moment is filled by Cristian_25 and clicking on his handle takes us to 'mailto:disabled', which obviously means he has disabled it but it still works/opens the client, which it should not as he hasn't entered any address.

These links should take us to their profile, IMO.

that's a great idea.

edit: this has been implemented. thanks again! the "disabled" has been bothering me for many years but I didn't think of linking to the user's forum page
