Yea, you guys that were in my buy sell thread this is were we shall piece together the new stuff and decide what to sell off and what to buy, what i wanna start with the new DFI lanparty board, Id like it buy my school blocks newegg. Yes sad

School blocks it =/ I was posting in my buy thread about selling my cards then we all just decided to build a new system. So, I just gotta read your posts till I get home

Well start out with what I recently posted. Sticking AMD or would like to move Intel? Because your first 2 main choices should be motherboard and powersupply.

Then from there, sticking with nVidia or wouldn't mind going to ATi?

amd and nvidia

Because your first 2 main choices should be motherboard and powersupply.

I disagree.

IMHO, Mobo/CPU first, then video, any more expansion cards ,then hdd & cd/dvd, case, and powersupply last.

that board looks awesome!! :D

IF I could afford it, it'd be my next order :toast:

well im gonna sell my whole system, I mean I got four sticks of kingston hyper x 512 sticks they were like 60 bucks each lol so My system should bring in enough money to get the new one started without having to spend to much of my own money

ahh.. I see.. kinda like a trade in :D

just be careful on your choice of CPU's with AMD's quads and their issues.

IIRC the black editions and the new B3(?) steppings did away with that issue.

From what I gathered you will only notice the errata issues in very intensive CAD or Photo editing apps. This is all second hand info from AthlonX2, from his latest jump into the 9600Black.

I was going with the quad..well...idk why, how bout a nice am2 opty?

the quads are ok just be sure which quad you are getting if the errata issue will effect your needs on your PC.

It wasnt intended as a scare tactic....just to be informative!

I disagree.

Nah, motherboard and psu are the most important.

but you need to have everything else planned out first, so you know exactly how many amp's, watts, etc you need.

no point in spending a $300 on a PSU with features you don't need ;)

nice sig pic btw :)

My first fancy build in recent years was a AMD, but right now if you want a Quad...... AMD is a bad idea. Dual core AMD is alright, but Quad AMD is problematic.:(

Intel for Quad
AMD for Dual

I was gonna go with an amd opty dual core

I think you should go with a E2140, E2160, E2180, or a E2200. They each easily clock up to 3.3Ghz and with more volts reach 3.5Ghz with a Xigmatek HDT 120mm.;)

Better performance for less. But if you are into AMD cpu's out of habit, all black editions are worth it.

I have seen a E2200 reach 3.8Ghz. The Pentium Dual Cores are the best bang for the buck really. I still own AMD systems but I just don't see them keeping up with intel's Conroe generation.

amd habit whicked, Ill check out the black editions, any suggestions for the blacks?

all that looks great. But to save money for now Ill just use my cards. And this is kind of a stupid question, that board sli's right? cause I only read crossfire in the info

only boards right now that fully support phenom are xfire so yea thats an xfire board

Hey cdawall, I think Fox would have more fun with an M2N-E SLI. Sure its an older board but he has been using nVidia cards for as long as I have known him on the forums.
