Guys, I need to return my built by ATI X850 Pro AGP back down to it's regular clockspeeds and back to the original 12 pipelines and the original bios.

How do I do this?
I swore I saved my old bios but I can't tell if it's correct for my model as ATI Tool is telling me there is still 16 pipelines.

Can somebody provide me with their original saved bios for the X850 Pro AGP?
This page has two bioses of the X850 Pro AGP but they have different clock speeds and I don't know which is which: http://www.techpowerup.com/bios/

OR - please do me a kind favor and check the file that I've attached. :) This is the bios that I believe is the one I backed up from my card before I flashed it for the first time. Can you check if it's the proper bios for 12 pipelines and the default clocks for ATI's card? I don't know how to read it's contents, I tried a hex dump but most of it was gibberish.

Thanks.

Hallo to all, i bought me a Connect3D X800GTO(no VIVO), and it has GPU R430 at 390Mhz and 256DDR3 Samsung 2.0ns at 350Mhz, The Config_die_fuses 0xFFFFFFFF, and Config_substrate_fuses 0xFFFFFF9F. then i flashed the connect3d x800xl bios and it enabeld
the 4pp now the card looks like this R430 @ 400Mhz 256DDR @490Mhz 16pp.
Then my friend bought another Connect3d x800GTO(no VIVO) but his
The Config_die_fuses 0xFFFF7FFF and Config_substrate_fuses 0xFFFFFF9E. I looked at the GPU an it has no lasercut, can i enable the 4pp?? I tried the bios flash but is not enabeling the 4pp.

help please?

hey guys...great thread! I broght this quote over from another thread...seemed more relevant here...

Hoping for some reliable advice...I have an ATI brand x800pro, non vivo. i want to know what bios i can flash to that will open up the best performance for this card, and also if the 16 pipe unlock will work.

thanks!

I will post my screenshots with fuses info later today...just wondering if I have provided enough information for someone to tell me if I should bother modding this card...R420 core.

cheers.

So is there anybody out there making an XT bios with good fan control for pro ?????

sys5TM:
Take a look at this
EDIT: I added the bios "X850XTPE with Fan Controller" as a shortcut to you guys, so just use the modified flashrom and that bios then you're done, you will get both 16 pipes 540/590 speeds and fan controller:rolleyes:
darn forgot the file

here :: you can down clock to XT spd with RaBIt

good for 800pro?

will that bios work for the 800Pro?

DON"T KNOW don't have one to try

Do you have any more details on your card? I expect the x850xt would work fine as long as you chose the right one. E.g. PCIe/AGP 2.0ns/1.6ns etc

I believe shadowflare made a bios that had working fan control. Send him a PM and you'll soon know ;)

How bad is the fan control? I've never seen the x800pro modified to x850xt so i don't know how bad it is.

Thanks

details...

I would just like to know if this card will unlock to perform any better...if so, I would love some advice from those that know...

Ok, unfortunatly the fuse data shows your card to be unlockable, but some people claim that flashing to the x850xt still provides a little more performance even though the card still only has 12 pipelines available, but with the problems with fan control that flashing causes with your card it's probably not worth doing.

You can always get a little more performance out of the card by getting a good cooler for it. The Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 5 rev.2 would be ideal if you can get hold of one. You should get quite a lot more speed out of both the core and memory.

Good luck whatever you decide to do ;)

Thanks!

I do have an Arctic cooler...bought it about a year ago, but im not sure what rev. it is...anyway it clocks to 543/501 stable without voltage mods...thats the next step i guess.

Is there any point in playing with the memory latencies?

YES! I gained about 300 points in 3D05.

:respect: Hi all . Just droped in to say i love my new x850xt  can i reflash it , but this time do it with a fan controll also so i dont have to use the ATI TOOL ? and what about keep it cooller. in game it runs like 73* thats high anit it ? :twitch:

JJ see my post #160 on page 16

Frogger....
Thx.. and i just reflash it with this one.. right ? And then i can take Fan off of the ATI tool and not over heat ? Ahh sh*&*^ ,, Thats a PE,, wont i sit and cook ? with this stco fan ? ok wait.. i now see it says Fan control on it.. last time i flash the bios for gpu timing, this time im doing it fo rthe fan.. Do i use the same things as befor ? as in -f -p o -newbios xxxxx.bin ??

Should bring temp down to about 60 yep 70 will cook the card faster

use ati tool to set clocks to 520 core 540 mem uncheck "override fan speeds" in the tool
if the fan control works right and the temps stay low [like 60 65 ] get the Silencer 5rev2
I can mod the speeds no problem

that the right cooler

:respect: i will oder it today.. i have the stock fan set to 100% withthe ATItool. When Im in windows .. Its about 35-40 and i game its 70-75.. After i get the other fan.. Would rigging up a fan on the back side of the card help any ? What would a h2o cooler bring it down to ?:D
