32GB on a gaming gentoo System. Yes, I am crazy.

Probably gaming&profesional use, then?

32 GB.

RAM drives.

If I only gamed, I would only need about 16 gb.

Faster access than a SSD.

14Gigs Free, 2 Used by Windows 7 64bit.

8GB work laptop (soldered on and pushed beyond limits), all sorts of work stuff...constantly hitting mid-90% usage.
16GB main system, 16GB gaming laptop, used in multitasking, gaming, running VM labs, etc.
32GB in servers - Hyper-V cores, multiple VM's in operation and with replication between cores.

16 GB used for gaming and light video editing..

32GB. Mostly gaming.

10GB, (weird configuration, I know) for browsing with at least 15 tabs, gaming, with light python coding

I used to have 32GB on my X79 platform but currently run 16GB. Doesnt make me miss 32GB any less though...

mainly used for gaming and web browsing with a few hundred tabs open.

if I have 16 do I click 8-16 or 16-32 ?

32gb video editing, transcoding, gaming Your poll doesn't really make sense. And I can't think of one "professional" that games on there work PC.

256mb to 24gig across laptops to x5690
gaming web general use /encoding

8GB, use it for light CAD modelling, web browsing, occasional gaming, only ran into lack of RAM one single time.

Main systems: 4GB on HTPC, works perfectly even with some gaming. 16GB on gaming PC and also no problems.
Retro builds: 2GB on Socket A rig, 4GB on Socket AM2+/AGP rig.

Still on 939 platform, so i'm stuck with 4GB, but it's more than enough for web browsing/light gaming.

8GB and I mostly use my PC for gaming and media consumption these days.

On a side note, your poll is poorly constructed as you have two options for multiple values. Should've been 4-7GB, 8-15GB, etc..

16 GB, initially I had 8 GB but had a chance to pick up second stick few years down the line for free (some creative accounting with university). It's pretty much a daily browsing/gaming rig.

8GB , only for gaming and browsing , never felt that i need 16GB.

just 8 GB, just for basic tasks and photoshop

16GB on mine for gaming, 32GB on wife’s for gaming and photo editing.

32

Mostly modeling and high Res texture work with some gaming.

32 for image processing, my ram gets its neck rung with staxing programs and 32 on my gaming rig cos its a nice round number but in practice it never uses more than about 10gb in VR.

32Gb, but I probably don't need it. It was an impulse buy.

2000PB.... not 'cause I needz it but 'cause I can

nah, j/k !

16GB is the sweet spot for me, enuff but not excessive, for general use, work stuff, video/photo processing, etc etc......
