Why? If they Check now for example the L3 Cache (+Size): X58 -> Okay but LGA775 failed. Check is overrided if real nv-chipset found. like it was before. The Hack so far was based on the SLI String for X58 Boards.

Probably no real performance gain with the new beta driver, only a fix for hack SLI.
So why even update, other than to see if it will work with it or not.

I was really hoping we would get to the first Fermi drivers before they started the counter-measures.

I really don't see the point of them now, nvidia must know their chipset business is finished,

you would think they would just be happy to sell more cards...

i wasn't out. there was a lot of work with SliStringInstaller 2.0
i had to write AML reader to get SliStringinstaller completely finished

for the sake of the experiment i installed new driver and copied nvlddmkm from older one (191) = SLI not work.
then i installed 191 driver and copied nvlddmkm from newest one (195) = SLI not wok
and i examined a little the new driver and the checks like previous

SliStringInstaller v2.0

Some bugs fixed.

Anatolymik, the slistringinstaller v2.0 works very well. I really like the uninstall option. It works a treat. I tried the 195.39 betas, no go with sli, even using the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider program. Reinstalled the 191.07's and good to go. I used string installer 2.0 & halmod 0.9 on Win 7 64 bit build 7100. I need to get the full version of pro.

EDIT:
I tried the previous betas that were not WHQL signed, 186.08 & 191.03. Both betas installed and SLI was available. No go with the latest beta 195.39

Testmode was switched off? With F8-Programm no need for that.

Even hitting F8 to disable driver checking, SLI with 195.39 beta's is a no go. Something else going on there.
