Intel Xe-HPG Arc Alchemist Graphics Card Alleged Pricing Points Towards $650-$825 Range

Will we actually be able to buy these, or will they be like AMD and nVidia cards where you have a better chance of getting a unicorn?
No, you won't be able to buy them...Intel is using TSMC right? If so, these will do absolutely NOTHING to increase supply, why is everyone ignoring that fact?

Voted "Are they out of their minds"? That's a "no" from me, since we already know good luck getting them at MSRP.

Does anyone know without a question of a doubt if intel is fabbing these at intel foundries?

if so great. Should be a good supply.

if not whaw whaw whaw

My God, those are eyewatering prices right there.
Cad$ prices............don't forget to add the 13% sale tax to those prices

I'll put this into perspective.

RTX a4000 Quadro card is as good as a 3070 non LHR in mining ETH. It is also double the price of what MSRP of a 3070 is here in Canada. It sold out quickly when people found out.

If these are good for mining, it will be hard to get.

LMK when I can get a decent performer (x70-tier) for $300-$400 (which will probably be never).

I wish these prices would get Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA in trouble for price-fixing, but that won't happen.

These polls routinely dont have an answer for me.

Overpriced =/= They are out of their minds.

I guess budget sub $200 like the old RX480 or Gtx 1060 is now dead and would not comeback in a long time. Seem like even low end comes around $500 these days.

same for the other one "if the performance delivers" I mean if it performance twice as good as a 6900xt then I wont mind paying 850 dollars....

You stated they are unicorns that couldn't be bought. They are available to be bought.
Well you'd be more likely to buy a unicorn then a 6900xt for over double MSRP.

Dont worry, you can always buy a PS5 if you win the raffle and have $950 laying around.

Doesn't justify a $700-$1200 markup, though.

Doesn't justify MSRP either. People keep saying ignorant comments in this thread, and then when they are wrong they turn to "WELL I meant to say!!"...

Change it to AUS and then you will start crying
No thank you. I've heard enough from Hardware Unboxed to know that prices are just beyond insane in Australia.

All those "people" probably expected others to read between the lines to the intent behind their words rather than do internet oneupmanship. Believe it or not, some people discuss topics and attempt to do so to get at some point rather than "win" the intarwebz.

There goes my hopes for it being a $300 card.

I believe it is using TSMC 6FF vs the 7FF node that the rx 6000 series is using. Note that's actually two gen improvements in area efficiency for a die vs 7FF (Zen 3 uses 7FF+). However, they are updating 7nm nodes to 6nm for production so they lose the 7nm node.

Theoretically that will mean about 35% more chips per 300mm wafer, so there is a supply increase. Area in this case is defined as "... measured in mm2 and refers to the total area of silicon that is required to make a physical implementation of the IP. "

Still these prices are crap. I'm still waiting for my $399 3060 Ti.

Don't care about the reviews anymore - where can I preorder one blindly for 825$ just to guarantee the card? :D That's the price of 6600 non-XT on the market where I am right now so this one will definitely be better anyway.
Wow blind...

Yeah no kidding, a R9 290 Vapor X in 2014 was 460, the top cards are pushing 10x that price!

There is no problem with buying Radeons in the UK at the moment. An example from one of the stores (basically every major store has cards).

I considered several cards from here, also one GeForce in the list. However, the XFX RX 6700 XT Merc 319 Black quickly sold out, which I finally bought a few days ago for £729 with delivery.

At those prices I'd be surprised if they're sold out. Any of them.

Seem you are happy overpaying more-then-a-years-old hardware...are you crazy or something?
