Message From Kreij

Kreig,

Hang tough, the human body is amazing, the human spirit and the will to live is even more so.
Together that cancer can be beat.
I myself was told I had a 50% chance of dying 5 years ago from a liver problem, called end-stage liver disease.
I went through 6 months of chemo and here I am, brand new. The liver regenerated itself and I was told it couldn't do that, it was too far gone at 20% left.
But it did. I just kept telling myself I'm beating this and believing it.

Get well.

Hang in there. I also recently had some medical issues. Everything seems to be better now. Hope the same for you

Get well soon Kreij.

My little brother went through most of the same when he was 5, so I know it's really tough.(hemicolectomy, the tube, etc. except he did not have cancer, only an appendicitis that went wrong because of an inept ER doctor that sent him home)

You are a very good person and that generally pays off, so I'm sure very good people is taking care of you. I hope you the best.

You have our blessing, go out and kick that cancer's a$$.

Get better soon, and I hope we get to hear from you again in the very near future.

Wow, that is some horrible luck, feeling just fine then a whole load of problems catches up at once. Despite all the cutting that had to be done, it's good news to know that it was all able to be dealt with so fast and that it was operable, and that you are now out and on the road to recovery, hopefully you heal up in no time and can put it behind you :toast:

Whoops ... just found out there are some surgical complication that should not be happening. Back to the hospital tomorrow for more tests (hopefully no surgery).
Pathology also found evidence of cancer in a couple of lymph nodes so chemotherapy is going to be a requirement now. Oh well. I finally got my hair to shoulder length so I can put it in a pony tail and it will probably all fall out and I will look like frickin' Steve Jobs again. ROFL

@Hayder, You are in my prayers that you get released soon so you can once again be with your family and loved ones. God be with you.

James 5:14–15

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Get well.

So I guess your trip to FL and our drinking binge is on hold. I don't agree to this.

I'm sure you'll be around here for many years to come. It's just a bad dream, that's all.

Yeah what the hell there is still a marlin or two kicking around out there off the coast with your name on it! You seem like a hardcore fishing type and Lord knows Mailman looks like he's reeled in a few in his day over many hours (and this time I don't mean the hookers and blow).

Thanks for the update, of course, even though it's not the news any of us wanted. Seems like you are keeping your spirits up which is Step 1, so great!

Well Kreij, it looks like winter is finally arriving tomorrow. Mother nature sure is a wierd bitch though. 58 degrees here right now... In January?!!! Hope things are getting better, I'm in a health pickle myself right now (my guts are all messed up too and it's effecting my other health issues) but I try to focus on the good things. Keep strong my man and keep positive. :toast:

Wish you the best as well Erocker. :toast:

It's funny how in situations like this, just how much one can feel pissed off that some achievement they've been trying reach has been thwarted.

I hope the chemo is successful, K. :toast:

I'm sorry to hear this Kriej you are one of our most beloved members here and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Kriej, best of it all to you, makes it hard not to fold for the cause.

Biggest wishes to you, my mother was one of the unlucky ones.

Apparently being a TPU mod is hazardous to your health.

Fuck cancer. That is all.

Damn Kreij, hope things take a turn for the better for you. Best wishes man.

I wish you all the best, erocker. I hope you make a good recovery.

Noone should be going through things like that, I wish you all the best.

Get well soon Kreij, keep reminding your self there is people here who need putting in their place :P..

Stay positive bubba.

All you really need to do is stay positive. Do you have any idea how many times you can watch blade runner now?

Thanks, Solaris (I collect Sci-Fi DVDs) but I really need to stay active in the realm of what I can tolerate. Doc says don't sit or lay around all day, get out and walk ... just don't overdo it.
I found out yesterday that trying to help fill the outdoor wood stove, even with little logs, is beyond what I can tolerate at the moment. LOL ouch
