Is this better than GTA V?

Personally yes way better, the sheer love of those times it shows a lot, the care taken to make it happen is a hell of a feat for sure which is why i am very annoyed with this game. I would of been more willing to wait for a 2020 release of it so they could fix the CTD's which i have had about 30 ish in about 200 hours of playing it.

Started to think that Rockstar did not have a option to not release it and were forced too so as i cannot imagine a team of people putting so much thought in to some thing to end up releasing it with so many bugs.

I would say i have got off lightly compared to some others and annoying as those CTD's are at times can happen often i have been able to play 10 minutes and get them and some other times 8 hours or not even at all.

It has way more thought and content in it period, even after 200+ hours i still come across new stuff in it,

also running 1080P with high and ultra setting with 40-60fps. Cpu usage has been around 25-75% and Vram usage about 3-5GB total.

If any thing else that is annoying about it is that the challenges are annoying as you might not want to do that you want to go explore and screw around play your own way, but you will find later you kinda need to do those challenges and may end up repeating them over which is annoying as hell.


Funny thought even my wife likes it and she dislikes westerns haha.

I have noticed the game phones home too though google when using the menu system.

A little tip if your finding your self in those menu's a lot which can be 3-5 ish deep if you hold the left mouse button on the back button it will go right back to the game. Which brings me some thing else annoying game lacks instructions as they are missing so much info.

As for online tried it and thought nothing special of it really wish they took a more SP view on it or at least had that element to it at least.

In the end absolutely not regret in buying it what so ever, i have the Special Edition btw.

O yeah the newer AMD drivers seem a little whiter so the game seems a little brighter than the 2 versions ago were they seemed darker.

i really wanted to like this game but i uninstalled it after 20 hours of pushing E to repair wheel,chop wood,feed horses,salute neighbours and everything else that`s to do.

That's why we have trainers my friend. I don't want to waste time with this grinding bs in any game. That's why I'm not playing games like WOW anymore where mindless grinding is the norm.

Don't really like the controls and shooting, and it feels like it wanted to be too realistic to the point of no fun anymore. Part of me thinks if the story combine with the shooting of Mafia3 oh man it will be quite awesome.

There wasn't really much of a grind in rdr2, at least I don't recall it. Certainly not at the level seen in online titles.
Unless we're talking about online, which I haven't played.

I also think RDR2 is a much better game GYA5 in so many ways ( being able to change the car while in the air is ridiculous to me lol ), i like the realistic controls as you call them although i do play 1st person too as imo makes the game harder and more involving and when shit hits the fan so to speak it adds much more to it.

Mafia 3 i tried it and thought the game was crap and that's coming from some one who loved mafia 1&2.

Exactly, it felt terribly unfinished and I was so disappointed after 1&2 which are good..

We are getting all kinds of open world games now which are mostly only ok, sometimes i wish they can combine forces (lol) and made something truly spectacular.

I don't find RDR2 terribly unfinished though, sure it has bugs but play ability has been much better than most games.

RDR2 is truly spectacular which is why i am pissed at the reason it was released before the bugs were corrected. And it's a real dam shame they did not beta test the launcher much more at the start when it was released on epic as that nearly had me not buying it and personally made a lot of people not buy it.

Not had a launcher issue with the game( Steam ).

And the game runs very good for me

Oh no I meant Mafia3.. rdr2 feels alright but i do have graphic related crashes once in a while (vulkan crashed but dx12 works ok).

Just like GTA5, the engine is highly sensitive to unstable overclock, or even unstable stock system(like RAM stability), Vulkan makes it even worse. Other games forgive some errors, this engine often ends up in deadlock because of that.
