SLI with different cards

Hello moderators and experts on this issue of the SLI MOD, any news to activate SLI AUTO in drivers 452.06, I have two GTX 660, but my motherboard is not SLI certified, will there be a modification in hexadecimal? for this version, thanks! for your time!

I'm using windows 7 64 bit and I want to sli gtx 750 (non ti) with gt 730, is it possible? I already try the instruction with 388.71 driver and DSLIA 1.7.1, it work until I try to enable the sli. When I try to enable sli in nvidia control panel, the resolution change and after few minuets it's crashing. After that I can't use my nvidia control panel, even I already reboot it, so I must reinstall the driver. Also, I confuse about the nvlddmkm.sys. I have it in drivers folder and also filerepository folder and there are few nv_disp_inf folders inside. Which one should I use? And is it the cause that I fail to enable sli? My driver is compatible with win 7 and win 8, not win 10

Hello, I´ve had some issues with one of my systems lately.
Specs:
i7 6950X
4x8GB @3.2GHz/CL14
MSI X99A Godlike Gaming Carbon
512GB Samsung 950 Pro M.2 (Cache)
2x Zotac GTX 780
15TB Array with 14TB Parity drive

After a lot of work i finally got to run 2 VMs at once, each having:
4 cores, 8 threads
12GB of RAM
80GB of the Cache Drive
GTX 780
Access to a VM-Share
And its own USB controller...

The Problematic VM is the following:
8 cores, 16 threads
24GB of RAM
120G (Cache)
2x GTX 780, even with two SLI bridges installed

So the VM runs on Windows 10, everything works perfectly fine, except for SLI, a feature i would like to be able to use with two of (almost) the same GPUs...

I have tried this: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/81750-working-2x-1080ti-sli-in-unraid/
BUT its for an older driver version sadly and I currently have 452.06 installed...
Does anyone know how to get SLI to work with newer driver versions?

Greetings, i am new in this forum, i tried to do this with
nvs 300 x 2
MOBO ECS g45 chipset
core 2 duo e 8400
4 gb ddr2 ram

So, i would like to make this work, in some way, i am trying with windows 7 and tried with differents drivers, i am following this steps>
1. Install original NVIDIA® drivers *
2. Put cards together you want to SLI™ **
3. Reboot
4. Copy original "nvlddmkm.sys" from "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\" and put it in the same folder as the patcher.
5. Run "DifferentSLIAuto.exe" and press patch, if everything went well it will say that patching was successful, if not contact Ember on techPowerUp! and do not continue.
6. Log in as Administrator
7. UAC must be disabled
8. Run Install.cmd
9. Reboot

*trying with new ones, old ones, nothing works, with gforce drivers and too with nvs quadro drivers
**first install drivers with 2 gpu in?? or install first with 1 gpu, then attach the other?
i can see my 2 nvs 300 working, i even can see cudas of 1 or 2 gpu BUT when i try a game or benchmark, just 1 is workin 100% and the other is idle

Very please, anyways, i have already read all the response with keyword nvs

i have tried this in many ways as it could even be posible, even i have tried hyper sli; nothing works at all, i think that nvs 300 is not able to sli (i have tried tons of drivers too, but for quadro only works some of them, not the geforce drivers)
Note please, the old page of Anatomylks is not working anymore

P.D. right now, i am trying something like gpu passtrough directly to motherboard vga port. But as far as i can see, all works only with notebooks and not with desptop drivers/gpu

Listen, guys....

I have f 4 1060 after mining ferm....

Is it possible to join them to 3 or 4 in sli mode?
I need a special motherboard with pci-x16 slots or can use my from minig with pci-x1?

and whicj drivers version should i use?

Thank you

Far out homies!!!

I got super nerdy and smelly during this .

So. After a lot of tinkering and efforts i just gave birth to a BEAST in its own right. Had some frustrating moments here and there. But it felt so good to get it working.
Pretty massive thread you got going here. Big thanks to everyone involved and who ultimately got me sorted out.
Just ran 3dmark and it runs impressively smooth.

I recommend paying attention to what P!nkpanther says ;)

What finally got me there was NOT to disable videocards in device manager as advised by some. And i would advise to carefully make sure that you are replacing the location of nvlddmkm.sys in install.cmd with the CORRECT :D location of the driver version file you are trying to get working. Because there are usually 1 other Nvidia driver on your system that windows uses.
Untitled (4).png

I got mine working with DifferentSliAuto1.7.1. + 388.71 Drivers + Windows 10

For me the reason i needed DifferentSliAuto was that Dell Precision workstations do not natively support SLI with anything other than Quadro GPUs.

Specs:

Dell Precision T5600 Workstation
2x Xeon E5-2665 8C16T - Total of 16C32T with 2x AMD Prism coolers i hacked on there.
2x Manli Gallardo GTX 1070 8GB
64GB DDR3 1600Mhz 4x16GB
Samsung EVO 860 512GB SSD
Dell 825W PSU

EDIT:

Ok so i just found out about that HEX editing and new drivers. :D

Now running 441.20 without any issues. This is so cool.

Dont know if its the extra fan i put on my GPUs or the new drivers but i got an improved score aswell.

I have another digits/letters there. I checked nvlddmkm.sy_ in driver archive "446.14-desktop-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe", and there're another digits at these addresses.

Please upload fixed nvlddmkm.sys if possible.

This still work? thinking of being stupid and SLI'ing my 1080 and 1070ti, which are pretty similar GPU's apart from the VRAM

Any advice on this mod would be great, too many pages to catch up.

Hello,
I am new here would also like to install SLI.
Can someone give me the latest method or script to easily create SLI on my computer.
I want to run 2x RTX2080 in Windows 10 LTSC.

Thanks

I haven't been using SLI myself for some time now (or DifferentSLIauto for that matter) and thus haven't been following closely what's happened in this thread.
To everybody asking about installing DifferentSLIauto on their system, the procedure to follow is this one:

The lastest working offset seem to be for the 445.75 driver:
So you need to make the (unmodified) driver work on your system first.

Other points I want to make:
  • This method is not guaranteed to work. So try it, if you already happen to have the GPUs, but don't go out and buy cards, relying on this method to work.
  • SLIing different cards of the same microarchitecture is no longer supported for driver versions 4.xx and up. If your card is old enough to be supported by driver 388.71 you could try the old method:
  • Yes, running a modified driver requires Test Signing Mode, which in turn makes anti-cheat software of most multi-player games block/ban you from playing. Some users claim to have bypassed this, but I haven't verified that:
Also, that method seems to lead to other problems, as mentioned in that thread.
  • And finally, for some time already, I would no longer recommend anybody going the SLI route, even less if using DifferentSLIauto. SLI mostly made sense for DX11 games, but the current gen of cards handle them easily. Most of the users I know of were using SLI for increasing the frame rate of their favorite competitive online game, but due to the Test Signing Mode requirement, this is out of the question if you plan on using DifferentSLIauto.
So if you're not out to break benchmark records by stacking the most expensive cards money can buy, you're always better off selling the cards you have and buying a better one for the same total amount of money. And if you really have that kind of money to buy multiple top end GPUs, you could afford an SLI certified Mobo too, right?

Hi,

i have tested it:
Only the variant with patching Hex Editor works for me. With DifferentSLIAuto1.7.1-win10 goes unfortunately not to patch in Win10 LTSC(error message: "Could not find patch #4"!).
At least not with me. I had the following driver 446.14

This Steps:

1. Install original Nvidia Driver.
2. Download DifferentSLIAutoLoader from Github and extract it.
3. Copy nvlddmkm.sys from System32 to DifferentSLIAuto patch folder.
4. Patch nvlddmkm.sys with DifferentSLIAuto.exe!!(that works not!!! At least not with me). or

HexEditor(It works!!! Hexeditor open nvlddmkm.sys load / Search String in nvlddmkm.sys "84 C0 75 05 0F BA 6B" replace with "C7 43 24 00 00 00 00")

5. Boot into safe mode.
6. Change the driver in System32 to the modified one.
7. Reboot computer.
8. Go to DifferetnSLIAutoLoader folder and run DifferentSLIAutoTools.exe.
9. Click "Load driver" button.
10. Go to Nvidia Control Panel and turn on SLI.
11. Go back to DifferentSLIAutoTools and click "Re-enable DSE" button.
12. Find Install script in DifferentSLIAutoLoader folder and run it as Admin.
13. Success!

DifferentSLIAutoLoader will start on every boot and load unsigned driver.

It works for me and thanks Statelo for his Job!!!

Hi everyone,

First, here's my "rig" :
CPU : i5 7400
Ram : 24GB 2400(3x8GB with two brand)
SSD : NVMe 500GB ; 5 years old Sata 120GB
2 HDD at 7200
PSU : 850W not even Bronze some aerocool garbage
Mobo : MAXIMUM HERO 8
OS : Windumb 10

!!!!!GPU!!!!! : TWO FRICKING MSI 1060 GTX AERO ITX 6GB !!!!!! (Back then, this was the holy Graal for me).

So, since December, I have tested to SLI 2x1060 aero itx with some drivers (446.16; 466.11; 388.71; 445something; ....).
I have tested those drivers with some tech too (DSLIAutoLoader or not).*

The results for all of them was not a big failure but,
-BOSD when the GPUs where in work
-BOSD when the GPUs where not in work
-BOSD at the Windows login screen
-frequent crash of GTA Online (i test it without DSLIAuto, no crash)

Basically it works, but nothing that do the job for a long time.

I look online (internet and this forum) for all the issues but I can't find out why (and im a bit lazy ^^).
I have the feeling I am the last moron to do it, so i have no hope that someone will help me, and even if there was one, he probably couldn't.

I don't know why I am writing this, maybe I wanted to put a final end to my journey, maybe I wanted to give me a one last dream to triumph this project.

Anyway, a big thank to the great help of P!nkpanther, Raller and Statelo for this dying project (snif), i craving that someone will revive this Bible one day.

In the meantime, get safe everyone.

Ps : I didn't read the whole forum so, sorry and also a big thank to all of the people who helped the SLI Monstrosity Club.

Hello! I'm new to this mod/hack. I want to run SLI with my 1070Ti and 1070. Both of these cards are from the same vendor and have the VRAM size. Difference is that one is Micron Memory and one is Samsung. Is it possible to SLI them?

Here I am including a SPECCY file which contains the spec of my PC.

I will also include screenshots.

Read my first post on this page further above.
I think the difference between the cards (different memory and shader count) makes it unlikely for newer drivers to work in SLI and you'd have to resort to the 'old' method using driver 388.71, as described in my post above.

Hmmm... Is it possible to use a newer driver that doesn't have that issue?

You could only find out by trying, but I'd say it's rather unlikely.

Hello, I wanted to make SLI out of two 750ti, did everything according to the instructions and I succeeded, a tab about SLI appeared in the nvidia panel, but I can not select the "Maximum 3D performance" tab, I click on it then on the Apply button and I need to close the TextInputHost programs .exe,
StartMenuExperienceHost.exe, SearchApp.exe, TextInputHost.exe closes and does not appear anymore, and the rest return, the first time I tried to uninstall and apparently because of this Windows did not load for me, then I managed to close these two programs and activate "Maximum 3D performance", but then the Nvidia panel froze and the driver 388.13 crashed, the motherboard supports Crossfire (Gigabyte z97 D3H) Xeon E3-1280 V3 processor, Also DifferentSLIauto wrote an error (this is a win10 driver file, running win10 mode) , but at the same time below I wrote in green that everything went well, thanks to everyone who responded, from childhood I dreamed that there were two video cards in my PC.
