Out of curiosity @W1zzard , why are all of the GoDeal24 and similar software sale announcements always locked to avoid people posting?

I'm sure that there are many of the members that would make comments on these sales.

Is it by request of the vendors?

It's a "grey" area these cheap keys..
The comments would go on and on about if it's legal or not..

Those are ads, and it's not at all surprising if commenting on ads is disabled. But we often refer to them and comment on them in various forum threads.

Not at all.

No, they are not.

That might be true, but it's not like IPV4 can't do the same thing.

Not one system in my home is running IPV6 and everything runs perfectly. It's not faster, it's not more secure. It only provides a greater single use address base. That's it. IPV6 is not required in the home, at all. Full stop.

Bringing that back on topic, TPU will run fine regardless of whether someone is using IPV4 or IPV6.
How odd that i can back up my claim

Two websites, three server locations enough for you?

We also get lower and more stable pings to people using IPv6 via steam to connect to my hosted servers than IPV4 even with port forwards, since it bypasses router processing and hops along the way

Your own screenshots tell the tale. 1 out of 3 show lower performance. That lower performance can be explained by any number of conditions that exist between you and the server on the other side of the planet. The other two are margin of error differences. None prove your point. They can NOT prove your point.

IPV6 was created not to enhance speed or security, but to address the fact that the world was running out of uniquely identifiable IPV4 device addresses. That's it. It was created for no other reason. IPV6 solves this problem permanently because when IPV6 is combined with IPV4 with a translation layer, the number of IP addresses that can be assigned is more than the human race can ever use.

one shows equal performance, the other two show better
0.2Mb is margin of error and you know it - look at the ping jitters

I've had other more drastic results, but re-ran many times and included that one to show i'm not here to be biased - ipv6 is generally faster. Your claim that it's not and never will be, is false.

The longer the route it's got to take, the more layers of IPv4 NAT is has to pass through - the faster ipv6 gets

The forum pages loaded slowly for a few seconds just now here in sunny Blighty. Seems ok now, not clear if at my end or yours. I didn't notice any problems with other websites while this was going on.

Why are some threads showing voting options on posts and others are not?

Never tried but I suppose that it depends on the choice between "Discussion" and "Question" when someone starts a thread. Question = I want the best answer, so please rate the answers.

Main "Forums" page loading very slow, other pages unaffected.

Edit: seems fixed now.

Whut?? Just checked the date on my PC and it;s fine from here...

How is this thread, that has just been created, 14 months old?

The review entry in the database was created in Nov 21, no idea why. When publishing the date should get updated, and it is updated now. Will verify with the next review that I publish

Not my review

Simpsons predicted this one, too.

Interesting bug, in all honesty

has there been a recent change with an ability to edit posts? I know once a thread is locked edit isn't possible, but has there been a recent change/rule that after a certain amount of time an edit is no longer possible?
