I tend to leave it along to be honest but when I'm looking for work there's generally some there, as the rest of the machines have a few days worth... Confusing in a wayHere's a hint. After trying a manual update, click on "Tools/Event Log" and you'll see status messages like "Mapping Cancer Markers not available". Saves you endless clicking.
I found the wattage used is horrendous for the performance it gives, its such a shame As always the newer stuff is better if you can get it but its not cheap and the cost of AM4 boards as well, seems to have near doubled for me.. The Hero 6 or 7 boards I bought for my Crunchers and my girls, have gone up by a fair whack of cash... Not impressed for when you are looking to try and do some giveaways!!That's why I went with older Xeons on the server. Wanted to at least double from the previous so 2x 2680v2 to 2x 2698v4 and everything else. Sure it clocks low but 80 threads that can chooch through WCG and the likes while enough left over for my personal stuff. Funny my 5950x beats it in multithread.
On and used is cheap. That was big part cept' for the board. Standard ATX for dual socket is spendy.
