Windows version poll

Out of curiosity, I am wondering what version of Windows Windows users are using on their main computer.

I realize many of us have multiple computers in various configurations. I am only interested in the computer we use most for our daily tasks.

For those with multi-boot setups, please select the default Windows version. If Linux is your primary and/or default OS, sorry, this poll is not for you.

Also, this is NOT an "opinion poll". It is not for the purpose of starting a debate over which version users believe to be best. The poll is only to see what users are actually using. Please keep that in mind.

I disagree , in my opinion win7 is the BEST and will always be the best , just my opinion.

Have any backups? That's what I did. As I woke up from my coma and reading the net I found W10 to be released. So rather than upgrading from W7 I just backed up with my 1TB HDD and here I am now

Although my best Linux OS is Linux Lite

Windows 10 pro on my x58 pc. I hate vista and 8 is just not me to much tablet and touchscreen feature over desktop. While to me 7 is the bedst windows to date. Ran so well and i had the less problem with 7 compared to other windows versions. XP is alright but i dont miss it either. 10 is alright but it is not with out its fails. Windows 7 is my all time favoridt, but use 10 because of of dx12, m.2 nvme ssd and security.

You should add Windows 98-95 and older as we have nostalgic users over here!

Just kidding, I would be surprised if somebody is actually still run XP as a main PC.

Win10 on my main, but only for the modern hardware support. I would go back to 7 in a splitsecond. I hate 10, it creates more headache then XP with its bluescreens back in the day.
My secondary system is Win7, the data backup is 7 and just for fun I have a Win 98 and a Win 3.1 machine.

Windows 10 on everything. When I work on a Windows 7 computer now it feels so old, and I find myself looking for things that are missing that I'm used to having in Windows 10.

server release master race in all main systems. only 4/13 systems I have consumer release windows.
server 2012:8 systems (even laptops) windows 7:2 systems windows 10:2 systems oh and 1 8.1 tablet

I get it...7 was the last true desktop OS.
I just move on...it did take me a little while to get used to Windows 95... I feel ya.

Win95 WTF ? btw , in my opinion win7 is the best for 3 reasons :
1-light on the hardware ( i know , it's my potato pc

)
2-very simple to use
3-no stupid unnecessary process and services eating CPU and RAM

"1" I understand. It seems to be true. And I don't know why.. they're essentially the same OS underneath.

Windows 98 SE was good.
So was 2000.

Liked 7 alot.

I'm now using Windows 10 Pro on all my machines. Debian on servers.

Windows 10 is not perfect, but no OS is perfect. Windows 7 feels old and outdated now. Updating is slooooow and security updates are not a priority from MS.

It's unfortunate that there isn't a "Not Windows" option but, before I jumped ship I was running 10. I honestly was a little surprised that I didn't miss it as much as thought I would when I completely ditched it considering when it's working, Windows 10 really isn't too bad.
