xfx rx480 8gb flashed to saphire rx580

Doesn't work for my card, all I get on a restart after flashing the first bios is a blank screen during POST. Windows continues to boot up but nothing on the monitor.

alright, im going to start to make note of what works and does not in the front page. that sucks. hopefully a nother vendor comes out with a card that is similar enough to make it work.

Ok, i dont touch anything in settings ( fan was at 26% at 86° wtf, need new fan curve i think), then i fix it at 86% and maintain constant 66°...

here the screenshots playing overwatch...

Doubt ASIC quality is a factor but just in case here's mine.

Im using exactly this model:
XFX RX-480P836BM
i buy it on amazon.com

i forgot to ask but what is your asic quality. sorry ive been up for a while now.

Okay so i ran a benchmark (a really quick one) and I download the RX 580 drivers when i was in the RX 580 bios.. did not reinstall the RX 480 driver.. Used the one I downloaded for the RX 580 since both have different versions not sure if that would affect anything but here are my results

also im not sure why it says 4095 instead of 8gb.

Seems like throttling is the real issue, they're not very efficient cards, but none of AMDs stuff are. My Nvidia card used to be whisper quiet under load and overclock like a beast, the same goes for my 4790K, but my Ryzen and the 480... just run hot and loud and don't overclock much.

what ryzen are you using if you are using R7 1700x or 1800x your temps has a 20c offset. So your current temps - 20c

it might be an issue with the drivers because the card is so new. if you can try running the benchmark with the original bios and post the results. also im not sure if i have said this to you but go ahead and check the front page out and set your fan profile similar to mine just for testing.

thanks

So a days gone by and not one of you has posted a core speed i cant do already with these new bios ,what gives.
My Reference Rx 480s will do 1411 all day below 60° full load(folding) with stock bios so i think I'll stick until your hitting 1500 on a 480 what's the point

Nice card you have! I can do 1450 but wanna see if there is any improvement in overall just to change the bios(like memory timings etc. ).

Possibly.. But i did not notice any clock drops though.. The RX 480 picture has the original bios the standard one. Yeah i have a feeling it's a driver issue..

if possible can i get your asic quality

Yes sure:

Need to down core to 1400 since it crash on Time Spy bench, and was my stable clock with 480 bios. Tomorrow I'll have more info.

Guess what, it did work after all. DisplayPort doesn't work for me but switching to HDMI did. Haven't reinstall the drivers but here is GPU-Z screenshot.
