According to latest reports...........goats are up and panties are down.
But what are the goats up to and the panties down for?
This may be even more broadly off topic but I think the naming convention and heir presumptive posturing of AMD have more to do with world politics than business.
Bulldozer is about as chicken fried beer swilling strength in force American a name as you could come by. No upscale or business elite connotations to distract you from seeing who and what it was aimed at. Namely the vast swath of people who Intel have told they can't afford a computer that's sleek and fast enough to cut considerable time off their day. In reality it didn't quite pan out as the everyman's entryway to enjoyable computing.
Zen on the other hand would appear to be heavy handedly butchering Mandarin in yet another slanderous American pop culture interpretation. Avoiding notice of the broad and openly disrespectful adoption of a deeply held and ages old way of life is hard if you keep abreast of international tech news. Hey, I think China just built the worlds most powerful super computer with chips of their own manufacture after the US cut off every conduit to attaining current top level ones from Intel. It's almost like there is a Silicon Valley banding together situation or something.
