The Radeon X1800 CrossFire Edition was a graphics card by ATI, launched on December 20th, 2005. Built on the 90 nm process, and based on the R520 graphics processor, in its R520 CE variant, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. Since Radeon X1800 CrossFire Edition does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The R520 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 288 mm² and 312 million transistors. It features 16 pixel shaders and 8 vertex shaders, 16 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has paired 512 MB GDDR3 memory with the Radeon X1800 CrossFire Edition, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 600 MHz, memory is running at 700 MHz.
Being a dual-slot card, the ATI Radeon X1800 CrossFire Edition draws power from 1x 6-pin power connector, with power draw rated at 113 W maximum. Display outputs include: 2x DVI, 1x S-Video. Radeon X1800 CrossFire Edition is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 1.0 x16 interface.
