The sub-60W power draws of modern flat-screen monitors, and usually sub-100W power draws of business desktops are driving the adoption of PoE.

The AD221PEB, as a monitor, offers a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it uses a TFT LCD panel with viewing angles of 160°/170°. Other vitals include 5 ms response time, 250 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast. Measuring 507 mm x 178 mm x 390 mm (WxDxH), the display weighs about 3.5 kg. Display inputs include DVI, and D-Sub. The monitor integrates 2W stereo speakers, which take input from a common 3.5 mm stereo jack. Its stand offers basic tilt adjustments.
