ASUSTOR Launches AiFoto Handheld App

Rosewill Unveils AIM Series Digital PSUs

Rosewill unveiled its own line of digital PSUs, which give you software monitoring and control over its various power domains, and fan-speed. Unlike Corsair's implementation, which involves an internal USB connection to your motherboard, and a Windows app, Rosewill did something similar to Cooler Master, by equipping its PSUs with Bluetooth modules, and Android apps, which let you tweak your PSU on your smartphone, so system instability doesn't come in the way of setting your PSU right, if something goes wrong.

The AIM series of digital PSUs comes in five models - 600W, 750W, 850W, 1000W, and 1250W. It features partially modular cabling (the 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS, along with one pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors, are fixed). The 600W comes with wiring for single high-end graphics card systems; 750W and 850W for two, 1000W for three, and 1250W for four. The units feature single 12V rail designs, and boast of 80 Plus Platinum efficiency ratings.

Microsoft and Motorola Solutions Sign Licensing Agreement

Microsoft Corp. announced on Monday a patent licensing agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of communication solutions and services for enterprise and government customers. The license provides worldwide coverage under Microsoft's patent portfolio for Motorola Solutions' devices running the Android platform and Chrome OS operating system.

"Microsoft and Motorola Solutions share a respect for intellectual property and a commitment to fair and reasonable patent licensing programs," said Nick Psyhogeos, general manager, associate general counsel, IP licensing of the Innovation and Intellectual Property Group at Microsoft. "Microsoft prefers licensing to litigation, since licensing is a more effective way to share technology and accelerate the pace of innovation."

Intel CEO Outlines New Computing Opportunities with China Technology Ecosystem

As the computing industry landscape undergoes rapid transformation, Intel Corporation CEO Brian Krzanich today outlined the company's plans to build upon its nearly 30-year history in China, and collaborate with the growing technology ecosystem, particularly in Shenzhen, to accelerate new innovation and reshape the computing industry.

Synology Releases DiskStation Manager 5.0

Synology today announced the availability of the official version of DiskStation Manager (DSM) 5.0, the latest NAS operating system that runs on DiskStations and RackStations. Kingston Digital Ships Dual Interface USB Drives

Kingston Digital Europe Co LLP, an affiliate of Kingston Technology Company Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the launch of the DataTraveler microDuo. AMD and BlueStacks to Bring New Dual-OS Android Solution to Retail

AMD today at Mobile World Congress announced the retail availability of a new BlueStacks dual-OS Android solution, optimized for AMD APUs, with expected consumer availability in the second half of 2014. The AMD and BlueStacks joint solution brings the complete Google Android OS experience to select Microsoft Windows-based AMD-based tablets, 2-in-1s, notebooks and desktops in select retail stores. The availability in retail stores of the virtualized Android solution, unveiled at CES earlier this year, will allow consumers to easily access both Windows and Android environments, side-by-side, on select AMD-based PCs. The BlueStacks solution will first be made available with several key retail partners across EMEA later this year, including Elkjop Group.

Lenovo Unveils New Desktops and Tablet PC

Futuremark Posts 3DMark v1.2.250 Update

Futuremark rolled out a major update to its 3DMark (2013) graphics benchmark suite. Version 1.2.250 introduces "Ice Storm Unlimited" to the Windows version, letting you test Ice Storm at its maximum setting, and compare scores with iOS and Android devices. The suite also overhauled its hardware detection, and uses a detection engine developed by TechPowerUp. Hardware monitoring graphs will show clock speeds and temperatures of GPUs and CPUs again.
