iiyama Announces GB3466WQSU Red Eagle Monitor: 34", 3440x1440, 144Hz, HDR400, 1500R

Japanese monitor maker iiyama has recently announced the GB3466WQSU Red Eagle gaming monitor, this monitor is quite similar to the GB3461WQSU which was released by iiyama a few months ago. The GB3466WQSU is a high-end gaming monitor with almost all the features you could want, a 3440x1440 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate with FreeSync Premium Pro support, VA panel, and 1500R curve. The VA panel comes with a typical brightness of 400 cd/m² scoring it HDR400 certification along with a typical static contrast of 3000:1.

The included monitor allows for height (110 mm), and tilt (-5°, +20°) adjustment or can be mounted to any VESA compatible stand using the 100 x 100 mm mount. The monitor features x2 HDMI and x2 DisplayPort but you will want to use DisplayPort as HDMI caps out at 100Hz, a basic dual port USB 3.0 hub is also included. The monitor features dual 3 W speakers and a 3.5 mm jack for all your audio needs. The monitor measures 808 mm x 441.5 mm x 256 mm and comes in at 10.9 kg, the monitor is currently available to pre-order for 429.99 GBP (~540 USD) with delivery expected July 24th.

iiyama Releases the GB3461WQSU Red Eagle Gaming Monitor

Japanese monitor maker iiyama has recently unveiled the GB3461WQSU Red Eagle gaming monitor. The GB3461WQSU ticks all the boxes with a 3440x1440 resolution, 144hz refresh rate, IPS panel, 1 ms MPRT, and AMD Freesync support. The panel has 100% coverage of the sRGB color range, 74% of the NTSC one and a typical brightness of 350cd/m² along with a 1000:1 contrast ratio.

The included adjustable stand allows for height (130 mm), tilt (-3° - 22°) and swivel (45° in both directions) control but can also be removed for usage with a (100 x 100 mm) VESA mount. The monitor is equipped with two HDMI and two DisplayPort inputs along with two USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. . The monitor measures (W x H x D) 817 x 415 x 230 mm and weighs 9.7 kg. Pricing hasn't been announced by iiyama but a Dutch retailer has the monitor listed for €479 ($524 USD), with availability from next week.

iiyama Announces ProLite X4372UHSU Monitor: 43" 4K, IPS, 60 Hz, 4 ms

iiyama today announced a new addition to their monitor lineup in the form of the ProLite X4372UHSU. For straters, let me tell you straight from the bat that this monitor doesn't tick many gaming boxes. The 4K resolution is its most appealing feature (and even then, most users would say that a 2560 x 1440 resolution is currently best for gaming with all but the most expensive graphics card solutions). The IPs panel comes in as a close second, though that is typically marred with slower response times - quoted at 4 ms in the announcement.

Other features include a 60 Hz framerate, which is expected given the 4K resolution. Typical brightness stands at a respectable (if nothing to write home about) 450 cd/m², and contrast is quoted at 1300:1. HDR support is therefore present, though no mention of a VESA certification (available at 400 cd/m² brightness). Connectivity-wise, the monitor features 2x HDMI, 2x DisplayPort and 4x USB (2x 3.0 and 2x 2.0) connectors. A bevvy of technologies (Flicker Free, Blue Light Reducer, HDR, PbP (Picture-by-Picture), headphone hook and remote control) aim to make the display more usable with some quality of life features, and the inclusion of 2x 9 W speakers can be a bonus for some (and will for most work environments). The iiyama ProLite X4372UHSU is available at around €490.

All five models come with a 24/7 operating time, landscape, portrait and face-up orientation and Open Frame mounting holes to facilitate easy installation and trouble-free operation in kiosks, tables, on walls for businesses, education and retail. The 38-series interactive displays are available in the sizes: 32", 43", 49", 55" and 65". They are designed for intensive use; featuring a 3 to 5 mm, 7H ball-drop-proof hardened glass, a metal bezel and PCAP touch technology.

"In our pursuit to continually evolve and improve our range offering to customers, iiyama's new 38-series sets the standard for high-performance PCAP touchscreens. The focus on design, with sleek edge-to-edge glass provides ultimate appeal for many market sectors like retail, museums, automotive and healthcare - but the key improvements are around practical deployment for multiple estates. The control and command suite of functions make this range perfect for serious integrators working with the biggest brands." - Lewis Clifford, iiyama Sales Manager Professional Displays.

Iiyama Starts Selling a 5K, 16:9, 27" IPS Monitor @ 60 Hz for €799

Yes, you've definitely read that right. Iiyama have silently come out with what has to be one of the best price/performance ratio monitors in the high pixel density races. The XB2779QQS is a 27" affair with a 60 Hz IPS panel trucking along in delivering its 5K (5120 x 2880) resolution. The contrast ratio is also a good selling point for the monitor, at 440 cd/m² (we've been seeing one too many 250 cd/m² brightness monitors as of late), and the contrast ratio is rated at 1200:1. For this price, however, the panel remains an 8-bit one, which is still more than enough, as years have shown us. The aspect ratio is the usual 16:9 (which means no fidgeting required with games or other content, as you likely would with most content on a 21:9 screen).

When it comes to connectivity, there are 3x HDMI ports (limited at 3840 x 2160 pixels and 60 Hz), 1x DisplayPort 1.3 (able to display the full resolution and refresh rate) of 5120 x 2880 pixels and 60 Hz. The XB2779QQS is listed at roughly €799 in the EU, which likely means our US readers should be able to snag it for as low as $799. Here's hoping.
