Pulsar Acquires Lethal Gaming Gear to Expand Premium Mousepad Line & U.S. Operations

Pulsar Gaming Gears (AplusX Inc.), a leading global developer of high-performance esports peripherals, today announced the acquisition of Lethal Gaming Gear (LGG), a U.S.-based company renowned for its enthusiast-grade mousepads and outstanding customer support. Founded in 2020, Pulsar has built a reputation for its rapid product development cycle, broad portfolio of intellectual property and esports collaborations, and commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation. Most recently, the company launched the X2F, a groundbreaking mouse designed without a back hump - engineered specifically for fingertip grip users. Released in both a standard and 5th Anniversary edition just last week, Pulsar's momentum and dedication to evolving gaming performance shows no signs of slowing down.

This strategic acquisition marks a key milestone in Pulsar's continued global expansion, and establishes Pulsar Americas Inc., a dedicated North American subsidiary. With this move, Pulsar aims to deliver faster regional support, improved logistics, and expanded future retail distribution across North and South America. Lethal Gaming Gear's acclaimed mousepads will now be developed and sold under the Pulsar brand, while maintaining the same performance and quality that LGG is known for. Existing mousepads under the Lethal Gaming Gear brand will continue to be sold until current inventory is depleted. These same products will then be restocked under the Pulsar brand moving forward, with plans to expand the mousepad lineup further through ongoing updates and performance enhancements.

Noctua at Computex 2025: Air Cooled Mouse, Low Noise AIO CLC, Co-branded Products

Noctua at the 2025 Computex brought several innovative new products to show us. We begin our tour with the various co-branded products. Noctua and ASUS have been co-branding graphics cards for a few years now, and their partnership continues with the ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition, which comes with a cooling solution that's been designed and tuned for low noise by Noctua. They've done a fantastic job with their RTX 40-series Noctua Edition cards, and we're confident their excellence will hold with the RTX 50-series, too.

Next up, is the Antec Flux Pro Noctua Edition case. A variant of the Flux Pro case Antec launched in August 2024, this case comes not just with Noctua's color theme, but also pre-installed premium Noctua fans, which include the NF-A14x25 G2 140 mm spinners in the front, and NF-A12x25 G2 120 mm at the rear. Noctua has tested the case with these fans for substantially lower noise levels than the stock fans the original Flux Pro comes with. All fans are installed with anti-vibration mounts, and the case comes with a pre-installed Noctua NA-FH1 fan hub, with factory wiring for the pre-installed fans. The Antec Flux Pro Noctua Edition is expected to launch in Q4-2025.

XYZ Debuts With PC Chassis, Power Supplies and Cooling Solutions at CES 2025

CES 2025 marked the worldwide debut of XYZ brand, a company that is not really a newcomer to the field. Actually, it was founded in 2007 by engineers and hardware experts, and in 2021 they conceived the XYZ brand with a focus on "enhancing the PC user experience to exceptional levels." The TechPowerUp team made their way towards XYZ's booth at CES where a plethora of products were on display. From PC chassis series like Atom, Quantum, Tesseract, Airwave, Trifecta, Aurorax, Airone, and Qubex, to the Thermax air coolers family, AIOs like Aquapulse, Hydrotemp and Hydraview, Vortex and Pulsar fans, to power supply units like the Phantom and Hypervolt series.

We will go over each of them in a few moments (words), but what we would like to mention straightforward is that XYZ brand arrived with a very distinct and clear lineup of products, featuring a minimalist approach that relies on white and black tones with some dashes of color from RGB lighting, doubled by straight lines and sharp edges and corners. XYZ's lineup looks unified, which makes us believe that the company has a clear vision about how they want to present themselves.

Upcoming Pulsar Peripheral Releases Shown at Gamescom

At Gamescom, Korean peripheral manufacturer Pulsar showed many upcoming releases slated for 2024 and 2025, some of which had to be flown in overnight fresh out of the factory. Aside from updates to existing mice series such as the Xlite, X2, X2H, or X2A, Pulsar also showed wholly new shapes and concepts.

Pulsar XS-1 sensor and in-house firmware
Shared between all new mouse releases from Pulsar will be improvements to the sensor and firmware. Based on PixArt's latest PAW3950 sensor, the custom XS-1 sensor will be capable of CPI adjustment in increments of 10, which would be restricted to steps of 50 on a regular PAW3950. After two years of development time, Pulsar's own in-house developed firmware is also nearing completion, and will feature multiple improvements over the third-party solution used previously. More specifically, refined double-click prevention will be included, slam-click prevention is implemented, and latency has been lowered further across the board. The firmware change will be accompanied by a new software as well, which will be exclusive to all newer models featuring the XS-1.
