DIMM designs by the various DRAM module manufacturers are always something of a personal taste thing and then there's the polarising issue of RGB or not. Well, it looks like Galax has worked on something special for its upcoming Gamer RGB DDR5 modules that is likely to cause mixed reactions, but we have a feeling they'll potentially be popular with younger gamers.

The new modules are expected to come in kits of two, ranging in size from 16 to 64 GB, with the 32 GB kit launching first. These are merely 4800 MHz modules, so there's not too much to get excited about there and no timings have been announced. However, these are the first customisable DIMMs we've ever come across, as the RGB LED strip at the top of the module is compatible with LEGO bricks, although presumably there's no official license involved here. Based on the fact that it's Galaxy China that has shown off these modules, they're unlikely to make an appearance in markets outside of China.

Raijintek today introduced the RJK 5V DRGB-PWM Hub, a device that lets you control both the lighting and ventilation of your PC. You get an impressive eight 4-pin PWM fan headers, and eight 3-pin addressable-RGB (5 V) headers downstream. On the upstream, it takes in a PWM signal for the fans, and a single 3-pin ARGB input from your motherboard. Powering it, along with all the fans and lighting attached to it; is a single SATA power connector. The hub has two buttons, one that syncs the lighting to the upstream source; and the other that lets you cycle between a few in-built lighting presets. The base of the hub is magnetic, letting you attach it to the sheet-metal of your case. The hub measures 133.5 mm x 57.5 mm x 13.5 mm (WxDxH). The company didn't mention pricing.

The latest IRDM modules are designed for gamers and professionals to provide not only an aesthetic experience, but also high performance. Each module is equipped with 8 LEDs and is compatible with RGB lighting control software from leading motherboard manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, and ASRock. Intel have recently launched five NUC X15 Laptop Kits featuring Tiger Lake processors and NVIDIA RTX 30 Series graphics. The Intel NUC laptops are sold direct to system integrators without memory or storage and are not available for direct consumer purchase so availability and pricing are unknown. Intel has two processor options available with the Core i5-11400H and i7-11800H paired with an RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 graphics card. The three display options all feature narrow bezel IPS panels and are available in 144 Hz FHD, 240 Hz FHD, and 165 Hz QHD configurations. The laptops all feature mechanical keyboards with RGB lighting, WiFi 6, Thunderbolt 4, PCIe Gen 4 storage, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, Windows Hello, and a 94 Wh battery.

ASUS earlier today teased its upcoming premium home networking product, the ZenWiFi PRO router. Designed in a vertical, cuboidal body with an acrylic top that shows off its MU-MIMO antennas, the ZenWiFi PRO is designed to be space-saving on your desk, while not compromising on range or bandwidth. As an ASUS Zen product, it's likely to be high on the aesthetics, with its matte black body that resembles a skyscraper. The "penthouse" (if you can call it that), features the antennas resembling pillars, as well as an RGB-illuminated ASUS logo that probably serves other functions. The teaser already reveals that the router is designed for 6 GHz Wi-Fi 6E. It's also possible that ASUS throws in goodies such as 2.5 GbE wired LAN and WAN ports, USB 3.x type-C and type-A ports to plug in the next crop of 5G dongles, DAS, and much more. It also wouldn't surprise us if ASUS designs mesh repeaters with the same design scheme as optional accessories, or part of whole-home mesh kits.

Corsair has recently launched two new Vengeance RGB DDR4 memory module lineups with updated heatsinks and RGB lighting. The Corsair Vengeance RGB RT modules are available in black or white and feature a new design with 10-zone RGB lighting that can be controlled with the Corsair iCUE software. The Vengeance RGB RS modules will offer a reduced 6-zone RGB lighting setup and will only be available in black. The anodized aluminium heat spreader helps keep the memory modules cool even when overclocked and Corsair has verified that all these new modules support Intel 300 Series, Intel 400 Series, Intel 500 Series, Intel X299, AMD 300 Series, AMD 400 Series, and AMD 500 Series while only the RT modules have been tested with AMD TRX40. The modules are now available to purchase and are offered in capacities of 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB with speeds between 3200 MHz and 4000 MHz.

The Torrent is a brand new high-performance PC case devoted entirely to providing premium airflow straight out of the box.
