AMD Releases Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.5.1 with Graphics Hardware Scheduling

AMD today released its first public beta driver that enables graphics hardware scheduling feature support with Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004). This oddball release has the same version number as the previous-release, version 20.5.1 Beta, but with graphics hardware scheduling retrofitted. The driver hence ships with the version name "Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.5.1 Beta with Graphics Hardware Scheduling." This Microsoft-supplied feature allows GPU hardware to better manage its resources, and potentially improve performance in certain applications. Currently, only AMD's RDNA-based Radeon RX 5600-series and RX 5700-series GPUs support graphics hardware scheduling - not even the RX 5500-series gets it; older generation AMD GPUs, such as the RX Vega series lack it, too.

AMD Radeon Adrenalin Now Lets Users Report Crashes In-Driver

AMD's latest Radeon Software Adrenalin release, version 20.5.1, has introduced a pretty nifty feature: user-based crash reports. The driver suite from AMD now has a "Bug Report Tool" under the "System" tab that's fully dedicated to users reporting on crashes and issues with their graphics rendition, as well as Ryzen Master, Chipset Drivers, and AMD Link. The users' system is automatically populated by the driver suite, and users need only select the specific applications through which their bugs appear before submitting the form.

Some would say this is a feature that has been long coming, and that AMD should have implemented this ages ago - especially when its most recent driver woes increased in severity post-Navi release. An integrated bug report tool is sure to bring AMD more timely reports on existing issues, with a relatively standardized information and debug set that allows the company to work much closer with users while in search for a solution. A worldwide net of QA assistants, if you will.

AMD Re-Releases Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.4.2 as a WHQL-signed Driver

AMD on Tuesday re-released its Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.4.2 graphics drivers as a WHQL-signed driver. The company hasn't released a driver update since April 21 (the same 20.4.2 as a beta). With no new AAA game releases, there probably wasn't much AMD could do. Then again, 20.4.2 beta came with a long list of "known issues" (new issues identified by AMD that needed to be solved), which could have been fixed in the last 35 days or so. The WHQL is identical to the beta. It comes with optimization for Gears Tactics and Predator: Hunting Grounds, and fixes a handful of issues. Grab the Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.4.2 WHQL from the link below.

The G5 15 SE comes with processor options that include the "Renoir" Ryzen 5 4600H and Ryzen 7 4700H; and Radeon RX 5600M discrete GPU option.

AMD Reposts Radeon 20.1.3 Beta as WHQL

AMD has just re-released Radeon Software 20.1.3 as WHQL. These drivers are identical to the Adrenalin 20.1.3 Beta drivers posted earlier this month, with the only difference being WHQL certification. It looks like AMD's driver team is hard at work fixing the various issues reported. 20.1.3 WHQL is an important release as it now gives RX 5600 XT owners a WHQL driver — previously they had to resort to beta drivers to power their new purchase.

Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.1.4 Beta was released just days ago and does include additional changes that aren't integrated in 20.1.3 WHQL yet, because Microsoft's WHQL certification process takes some time. A few days ago we reported that AMD silently patched a driver security issue with 20.1.1 Beta, maybe that's a reason, too, why we're seeing a WHQL version today.

GIGABYTE Unveils its Radeon RX 5600 XT Graphics Card Series

GIGABYTE, the world's leading premium gaming hardware manufacturer, today announced the launch of the Radeon RX 5600 XT GAMING OC 6G and Radeon RX 5600 XT WINDFORCE OC 6G. The latest Radeon RX 5600 XT series graphics processing built with 7 nm processor technology with RDNA architecture is designed for the best 1080 pixel gaming experience, and supports the PCI Express 4.0 interface. It delivers extreme 1080 pixel performance so users can enjoy higher game fidelity, better gaming performance with higher frame rates, and ultra-fast response times, for a better gaming experience than ever before.

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5600 XT GAMING OC 6G is cooled by the WINDFORCE 3X cooling system that comes with triple 90 mm unique blade fans and alternate spinning fans. The thermal cooling solution includes 5 copper heat-pipes that directly touch the GPU so the heat from the GPU will be dissipated rapidly via conductivity effect. With these thermal dissipation methods, GIGABYTE tends to each component's temperatures for VRAM and MOSFETs at the same time, keeping components at low temperatures during the stable working state and extends the lifespan. The black metal back plate not only strengthens the overall structure but also prevents the PCB from bending or losing parts and gives the external design a more textured look. Moreover, GAMING OC has LOGO lighting on the card side so gamers can synchronize 16.7 million customizable color options and numerous lighting effects with other AORUS devices by clicking on RGB Fusion 2.0. It also allows users to adjust the diversified gaming atmosphere to what they have in mind.
