Colorful Announces its GeForce GTX 1050 Series

Colorful iGame GTX 980 Ti Ymir TOP Graphics Card Pictured

Colorful unveiled its top of the line air-cooled GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card, the iGame-Ymir TOP. The card features a massive 2+ slot cooling solution, which consists of two aluminium fin-stack heatsinks that meet at the GPU base, where their 8 mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes draw heat directly from the GPU die; ventilated by three 100 mm spinners. The card sticks to the standard height for add-on cards, and draws power from a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors. It is expected to feature a 20-ish percent factory-overclock, and a failsafe BIOS (dual-BIOS).

Colorful iGame-Z170 Motherboard Pictured

Here is the first picture of Colorful's premium socket LGA1151 motherboard, the iGame-Z170. The company plans to carve out at lease three unique SKUs out of this PCB (second picture below), the iGame-Z170 being the base model. As its name suggests, the board is based on Intel's upcoming Z170 Express chipset, and is designed for 6th generation Core "Skylake" processors. Some variants of this board, such as the iGame-Z170U, will feature DDR4 DIMM slots (up to 64 GB), while others will feature DDR3 (up to 32 GB).

The board offers a pretty decent feature-set, including a 14-phase CPU VRM, two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (electrical x8/x8 when both are populated) wired to the CPU, a third PCI-Express x4 slot wired to the PCH, three other PCI-Express x1 slots; storage connectivity that includes six SATA 6 Gb/s, one SATA-Express, and one M.2 10 Gb/s; two USB 3.1 ports, six USB 3.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet, and a modern onboard audio solution with ground-layer isolation, and audio-grade capacitors. The iGame-Z170 series will launch some time in Q3, 2015. The three will likely be exhibited at Computex 2015, this June.

Colorful Announces GeForce GTX 960 BURI-Mini Graphics Card

Colorful Technology, the biggest NVIDIA AIC in China, announced its ITX edition GTX960, named the iGame GTX960 2GD5 BURI-Mini. The card is 168 mm in length, and it can be easily installed in congested ITX and mATX cases.

Colorful iGame GTX960 2GD5 BURI-Mini features Colorful-designed cooler, with two 8 mm and one 6 mm heat-pipes. On the PCB, Colorful uses 5 phases VRM, which is equipped all POSCAP capacitors. Like the other iGame series cards, this one also provide two different clocks models. In power efficiency mode, it runs at 1127/7010MHz; and in performance efficiency mode, the clock is set at 1152/7010MHz.

Colorful Announces its GeForce GTX 960 Lineup

Colorful Technology, the biggest NVIDIA AIC in China, announced the latest GTX960 series graphics cards. Four different models had been released this time, including Colorful GTX960 CH with reference design for entry users, Colorful GTX960 i-Cafe for System Integrators, iGame GTX960 Ymir-U for general users and iGame GTX960 Ymir-X for enthusiasts. Colorful GTX960 CH uses reference design and runs at reference Clock, with 1127 MHz of core and 7010 MHz of memory.

Colorful GTX960 i-Cafe has longer PCB than reference design but runs the same clock with Colorful GTX960 CH. The i-Cafe series provide better stability and longer lifespan, with the efficient cooler and high quality electronic component, ensure that it could be steadily working long term in high ambient temperature in the computer case. iGame GTX960 Ymir-U is designed for general users and gamers and it provides two different clocks models. In power efficiency model, it runs at 1127/7010 MHz; and in performance efficiency model, the clock is set at 1203/7010 MHz.

Colorful Launches GeForce GTX 980 iGame Graphics Card

Colorful launched its flagship GeForce GTX 980 based graphics card, the GTX 980 iGame. It should come as no surprise to anyone following the over-the-top engineering from this company, that the GTX 980 iGame comes with one of the meatiest cooling solutions, and one of the most muscular VRM solutions, a GTX 980 ever shipped with. The GTX 980 iGame ships with a non-reference design PCB by Colorful, which features pure silver traces, a gargantuan 14-phase VRM that draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power inputs, server-grade tantalum capacitors, high-grade DPAK MOSFETs, and high-current solid-chokes (which don't 'whine' under load).

Colorful GTX 980 iGame ships with dual-BIOS, the first one runs the card at 1127 MHz core, 1216 MHz GPU Boost, and 7.00 GHz memory. The second BIOS drives clocks up to 1178 MHz core, 1279 MHz GPU Boost, and 7.01 GHz memory. The two BIOSes can be toggled with a push-type switch. As always the factory-overclock isn't intended to make the most of the VRM and cooling, because that's what Colorful expects enthusiasts to have fun with. Moving on to the cooling solution, and you get a massive triple-slot compound aluminium fin-stack heatsink, which features three 100 mm fans. Display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.2, one HDMI 2.0, and one dual-link DVI. A solid metal back-plate with a dotted-mesh pattern dons the back. Colorful began shipping the card to select markets in APAC and EMEA regions. The company plans to launch an even more over-the-top card based on this PCB, called the GTX 980 iGame Kudan, later this month; and the GTX 970 iGame, which is essentially this card with a GTX 970 chip.

Colorful Also Shows off iGame GTX 780 Buri-Liquid 6 GB

Colorful showed off the most over-the-top GeForce GTX 780 graphics card out there, the iGame GTX 780 Buri-Liquid. The card features 6 GB of GDDR5 memory (double the standard amount), and a factory-fitted closed-loop liquid cooling solution. Colorful appears to have innovated the cooling solution all by themselves, and not sourced it from one of the liquid cooling majors. It consists of a full-coverage water block on the card, with the pump+reservoir assembly being located at the 240 x 120 mm radiator's end. The card features dual-BIOS, with one running it at NVIDIA-reference speeds, and the other at factory-overclocked speeds of 1006 MHz core.

Colorful Shows off GTX 780 Ti iGame Kudan

Here's the first fruition of the association between Colorful and its newfound distribution partner, Chaintech. The GeForce GTX 780 Ti iGame Kudan takes hybrid cooling to the next level. It features a cooling solution that's similar in principle to that of ASUS GTX 780 Poseidon; but differs in that the liquid cooling covers not just the GPU, but also the memory and VRM. In the absence of liquid cooling, heat drawn from heat pipes passing through the base convey heat to its aluminium fin-stack heatsink, where it's ventilated by three 80 mm spinners. The liquid and air-cooling components draw heat from the GPU through a vacuum chamber plate.

Colorful Announces the iGame 780-3GD5 Graphics Card

Right after the launch of iGame Kudan 780, Colorful Technology finally releases its iGame 780-3GD5 graphic card. It continued the important features of iGame family -- adopting one-key overclocking, high quality IPP inductor and SPT (Silver Plating Technology). Although the performance of iGame 780 is under iGame Kudan, yet the performance of Game 780 is 17% better than GTX 780 reference card, especially while playing AAA title games.

Colorful Announces a Pair of GeForce GTX 760 Graphics Cards

Colorful announced a pair of GeForce GTX 760 graphics cards. Its recent tie-up with Chaintech appears to have sobered the company up a little, which offered two graphics cards that don't quite appear to be over the top, but designed to sell by the bunch. First up, Colorful unveiled a reference-design card of a different kind. While NVIDIA's reference GTX 760 is based on the same PCB as a GTX 670, and the same cooler as a GTX 660; Colorful's take on the reference is taking advantage of the pin-compatibility of GeForce GTX 760 with the GTX 680, and placing it on a GeForce GTX 680 reference PCB, with reference GTX 680 cooling solution. It goes a notch further, by enabling all five NVVDC phases instead of four on NVIDIA's retail GTX 680 cards. This card sticks to reference clock speeds of 980 MHz core, 1033 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory.

Moving on, Colorful's premium GTX 760 offering is the iGame GTX 760 Ymir-U. It features a high-performance cooling solution that takes advantage of a dense silver-plated aluminum fin-stack, a combination of 8 mm and 6 mm-thick heat pipes, and a pair of 90 mm fans. The underlying PCB features a strong 8 phase VRM, and dual-BIOS that's switchable at the push of a button. The first BIOS runs the card at reference clock speeds; while the second one runs it overclocked, at 1019 MHz core, 1072 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory. As with most Colorful cards, the company will begin selling the cards in the Greater China region first; and then move on to the rest of the continent, and neighboring Europe.

Colorful Unveils GeForce GTX TITAN Ultra Edition with Subzero Cooling

Given that our friends at Colorful never fail to surprise us with over-the-top custom-design cooling solutions for even the most mid-range GPUs, NVIDIA's lifting of restrictions on custom GTX TITAN designs was bound to come as their eruptive moment. Their take? Strap the GTX TITAN with a full-coverage phase-change cooler. Designed explicitly for open-air benches, and for people with a know-how of hardware volt-mods, the new iGame GTX TITAN Ultra from Colorful is a bundle of a reference design GTX TITAN PCB, and a phase-change cooler.

The cooler consists of the compressor assembly inside a separate case the size of a micro-ATX tower, insulated refrigerant pipes, and the dual-slot block itself, which cools everything on the obverse side of the PCB, and makes contact with the back-plate, so some of its heat can be transferred to the subzero obverse side. A phase-change cooler works on the same principle as deep-freezers, refrigerators, and air-conditioners, only that in this case, the block takes up the role of the evaporator. Colorful claims the cooler can sustain temperatures as low as minus 50°C. Out of the box crate, the iGame GTX TITAN Ultra comes with 954 MHz core, 1006 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory.

Liquid-Cooled Colorful GeForce GTX TITAN iGame Unveiled

Colorful was the first graphics card maker to announce a factory-overclocked GeForce GTX TITAN, only it held back with adding its own customization because manufacturers are not permitted to modify reference-design GTX TITAN, with the exception of pre-installing full-coverage water-blocks, such as in the case of EVGA GTX TITAN HydroCopper. Colorful followed this path, by innovating a full-coverage block of its own.

Pictured below are two iterations of Colorful's card, one with a see-through acrylic top, and another with a classy POM-acetal top. The underlying block appears to use nickel-plated copper, and features a dense micro-channel stack over the GPU area, where the highest heat is generated and needs to be dissipated. The coolant channel appears to flow through the entire VRM area; the block actively cools all memory chips on the obverse side of the PCB. Colorful is running opinion polls on Chinese social-media on which block better suits the PCB, which ultimately is an NVIDIA-reference design one. Colorful plans to deploy factory-overclocked speeds of 954 MHz core, 1006 MHz GPU Boost, while leaving the memory untouched at 6.00 GHz.

Colorful Announces GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost iGame

Possibly the most well-equipped GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost, Colorful's iGame graphics card combines the mid-range GPU, otherwise meant for 1080p gaming on a shoestring budget, with its signature paraphernalia. To begin with, the company cools the 140W TDP chip with its most powerful iGame VGA cooler, which uses a combination of three aluminum fin stacks, to which heat from the GPU is fed by five 8 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes; and which are ventilated by a pair of 80 mm fans. Since the card has memory chips on both sides, Colorful dropped in a brushed aluminum back-plate as well.

Colorful's iGame GTX 650 Ti Boost uses a custom-design PCB, with a 4+1 phase VRM, and hand-binned Hynix-made memory chips for high memory overclock. The PCB features two independent EEPROM chips, giving you dual-BIOS support. It ships with a failsafe BIOS that falls back to NVIDIA-reference clock speeds of 980 MHz core, 1033 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory; while a factory-OC "Turbo" BIOS ups the GPU Boost to 1058 MHz. The card draws power from two 6-pin PCIe power connectors, to ensure your overclock doesn't fall short of power; display outputs include two dual-link DVI, and one each of HDMI and DisplayPort. Colorful didn't announce price, but plans to launch the card in the Greater China region, and the EU. Another "go big or go home" product from Colorful.

Colorful Readies GeForce GTX 660 Glorious Mission Graphics Card

Glorious Mission may not ring too many bells with western gamers, but it's a pretty popular online multiplayer shooter akin to the Battlefield franchise, based around PLA. It's only natural that graphics card makers from the mainland design special edition products around the game. It just so happens that the graphics card maker interested in Glorious Mission is Colorful, known for its over the top performance-segment graphics card designs that never cease to surprise us. Its latest creation is in on the drawing boards, and we got access.

Based on the GeForce GTX 660 GPU, the new Colorful iGame Glorious Mission graphics card uses a cooler that builds on today's multi-fan aluminum fin-stack designs. The cooler uses a dual- 92 mm fan aluminum fin stack, to which heat is fed by four 8 mm-thick heat pipes, to cool the GPU. The two fans are covered by punched-metal sheets. Colorful didn't give us a specific date on its release, but we expect it to make it to this year's Computex, if not the 2013 Lunar New Year shopping season.

Colorful Announces its GeForce GTX 660 and GTX 650 Graphics Cards

Colorful today releases the new graphics cards which are based the lastest NVIDIA GPUs, named iGame GTX660/GTX650. With the new 28nm Kepler architecture, iGame GTX660/GTX650 has better power efficiency. Both iGame GTX660 and iGame GTX650 are based on Colorful design, they equips Silver-Pleated PCB,Shark Bionic cooling system and One-Key Overclocking function.

Colorful Announces GeForce GTX 660 Ti iGame Graphics Card

Colorful announced the GeForce GTX 660 Ti iGame. The new graphics card is designed for overclockers, and includes an elaborate cooling solution with detachable heatsink shards. Colorful did not confirm clock speeds, but judging by its record, the GTX 660 Ti iGame is most likely a reference-clocked graphics card with a large overclocking headroom, and the features to let you take advantage of that, with your own skills. The GTX 660 Ti iGame cooler uses a large main heatsink, to which additional heatsinks can be attached using heat pipes. The cooler is ventilated by a pair of 80 mm fans, and a set of shark fin-inspired vents that guide in fresh air. The card is expected to be available in Asia and EU.

Colorful Unveils Fanless GeForce GTX 680 Graphics Card

Now see this: a fanless, passive-cooled GeForce GTX 680! Chinese graphics card designer Colorful unveiled the world's first passive-cooled GeForce GTX 680 graphics card, the iGame GTX 680 passive. The card uses a pair of detachable, dense aluminum fin heatsinks, which draw heat from the 3.5 billion transistor GPU using seven heat pipes, and dissipate it using two aluminum fin stacks on either sides of the PCB. The two stacks are joined by six 8 mm-thick heat pipes.

The cooler cumulatively has 20 heat pipes, a surface area of 2 square meters across 280 aluminum fins. The second module is optional, and is only recommended if the operating environment is warm, or if the end user is overclocking. The card is said to use a complex VRM design that draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors, though we suspect the idea behind that to be heat spreading. The design guarantees reliable silent operation at reference clock speeds or mild overclocking. Display outputs include one each of dual-link DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Colorful is still assessing the marketability of the design. Watch this space for more.

Colorful Makes GeForce GTX 680 iGame Kudan Official

Colorful announced its most powerful GTX 680 named "iGame GTX680-2G Kudan". The first "iGame Kudan" graphics card was released last year, and it was a GTX560Ti. Now Colorful uses the design concept on the latest GK104 chip.

Like the first generation, iGame GTX680 Kudan equipped a huge cooler which requires three slots and assembles three fans, one is 90mm, and others are 80mm and with "Shark Bionic" design in order to reduce the noise. Below the triple fans, there are heat-sinks which are crossed by ten 6mm heat-pipes. A 3mm steel plate is covered on the back of the PCB in order to enhance the PCB and improve the heat radiation.

Colorful Giving GeForce GTX 680 iGame Kudan Treatment

What happens when you combine an over-the-top design, the Colorful iGame Kudan, with an equally over-the-top GPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680? You get the Colorful GTX 680 iGame Kudan, the pinnacle of air-cooling for the GeForce GTX 680.

The iGame Kudan's design methodology revolves around giving users an extremely tweakable and modular cooling solution, which can not only be modified by playing with its heatsinks, but also be re-painted to suit your style. Colorful included a pastel-set the last time around. Under the hood, the card is packed by a modular VRM. The main PCB has an 8-phase digital VRM, which can be augmented by an additional 4-phase circuit on a daughterboard, which gets attached on a modified SO-DIMM slot, which goes parallel to the plane of the PCB, on its rear. The card is said to have high out of the box clock speeds, with an even higher overclocking headroom. Colorful sells in Asia and Europe.

Colorful Launches the Most Powerful and Feature-Rich GeForce GTX 560 Ti

After showing off the PCB of the new design GTX560Ti days before, Colorful today releases this new graphics card and named iGame GTX560Ti Kudan.

iGame GTX560Ti Kudan requires three slots and assembles three fans, one is 80mm, and the other two are 70mm which with "Shark Bionic" design in order to reduce the noise. Users need to remove the cooler to install the expansion card on the obverse side near the rear plate. Both WHDI card and Television Card are available to be installed independently to satisfy users' requirement.
