With every major case manufacturer trying to offer a silent case option, it was just a matter of time before Corsair did the same. Somewhat late to the party, the Obsidian 550D costs a bit more than the competition, but manages to offer an extremely well rounded package giving the user the flexibility between silence and viable compromise for performance.

Cooler Master aims to shrink the HAF X, offering a mid-tower sized variant by the name of HAF XM. Still featuring that rugged, wide and military look, we take the chassis apart to see if it still manages to offer the guts of a war machine, just like the original, or if its looks hide nothing but a bland interior.

The BitFenix Shinobi really put BitFenix on the map for the majority of users with its sleek design and SofTouch surface. There are very few cases out there, which allow you to cool the CPU passively. Of those most only allow for Mini-ITX boards to be installed. Streacom breaks that tradition by offering the FC5 OD, able to take a mATX board and three 2.5 hard drives, while still offering enough cooling power to keep modern, high-performance CPUs cool. Can the 250 Euro enclosure deliver on all these promises and stand the heat?

The Commander MS-I case is the most affordable of the new cases from Thermaltake. With the choice between a model with two USB 2.0 and one with a mix consisting of a single 2.0 and a single 3.0 connector at the same price point, it is interesting to see what difference such a feature makes in terms of alternatives and placement in the crowded sub 50 US Dollar range.
