Cable Management

Many people do want their gaming or working space to be as neat as a pin. Well aware of it, Arozzi implemented a completely carefree setup for cable management with their Arena desk. Every cable can be routed below its surface through three cut-outs which appear on both the MDF and mouse pad. The cables below the desk can be organized by utilizing the mesh basket.

Overall Impression

The Arena is one big gaming desk looking to handle heavy gaming setups. We, on the other hand, used it as our table for PC assemblies since it is more than up to the task with its load capacity of 80 kg (176 lb). Its design is clean, but the details still make it a better option compared to other, plain, and more affordable desks. The curved front does not only make it an attractive option, but is, again, also a huge ergonomic advantage since it allows users to situate themselves as close as possible to their monitor(s).

Build quality is high, but still not perfect since we ran into issues with the bolts during assembly and while getting the pieces together. Adjusting the height of this desk is also done manually, and a two-person job since each leg weighs quite a bit. A good solution is to adjust the height as you assemble the desk. To alter the height of the desk, each leg needs to be adjusted separately, which might have a measuring tape come in useful. It is a shame that the height can't be adjusted with a hand crank or electrically, which, though more expensive, could be an alternative offer many would surely go for.

Their mouse pad offers an unobstructed working area for the mouse and will keep your arms from aching since it comes with a soft 5 mm thick padding. Its edges are stitched, which is a fine detail considering its edges will be put through a lot. If these stitched edges are done with a strong thread, this mouse pad will not wear out any time soon.

We are all for tidy cable management, and Arozzi made sure to accommodate us with the three cutouts through which the cables are routed under the desk; the mesh hammock under the desk's surface also plays its key role in terms of cable management. However, we should have watched an assembly video before putting everything together, and some of the bolts were harder to work with than expected as well. Also, given our sample was damaged slightly during shipping, more plastic foam should be included to ensure the Arena arrives in pristine condition out of the box.
