I would like to thank ASUS for supplying the review sample.

ASUS has been expanding the ProArt series slowly but surely over the years. The sub-brand targets creative professionals, as such it made sense for one of the first SKU types to be monitors. Since then ASUS has added motherboards, GPUs, AIOs and cases to the range. Today, we are reviewing the ProArt PA401 in its wooden edition. It is a more compact choice compared to the PA601 and, as the name implies, sports real wooden elements on the front. Available in three different variants depending on location, you can pick up the ProArt PA401 with a solid, glass or vented side panel. We received the glass equipped variant for review.

Packaging

The ASUS ProArt PA401 ships in a brown cardboard box. The front focuses on the ProArt branding, while the rear has a nice and detailed list of the unique elements of the enclosure. Both sides are completely black with a specification table on one and the usual set of identifying stickers on the other.

ASUS has placed the accessory box on the top of the package, as the Styrofoam spacers have been placed on the top and bottom of the chassis. By doing so, you get that little bit extra of a branded unboxing experience. The spacers are actually quite bulky, providing plentiful protection during the shipping process. A plastic bag has also been used to keep away fingerprint and scratches.
