Packaging

Compared to earlier VAXEE releases, the box is significantly smaller, and only contains the mouse along with its cable.

Weight

My scale shows around 68 g (+/- 1 g), which is exactly in line with the weight cited by VAXEE. Compared to a generally comparable competitor such as the Endgame Gear XM1r, the XE weighs 3 g less while being larger, and not featuring any externally visible holes. The XE also manages to weigh the same as the NP-01s, again while being larger. A very good weight.

Cable

The XE comes with a paracord-like, braided cable (USB Type-C to Type-A). Being detachable, the cable has an anchor on the mouse-end of the cable, along with a slightly angled connector to potentially reduce cable drag. In terms of flexibility, the cable is significantly improved over previous VAXEE cables, and roughly on par with the Zowie EC3-C cable. Its measured length is 2 m. A ferrite bead is attached, which reduces signal noise, and the USB Type-A connector is gold-plated.

Feet

The feet on the XE are white-dyed pure PTFE (Teflon) feet with slightly rounded edges. Glide is very good and thickness average. The ring around the sensor ensures CPI stay consistent upon applying vertical pressure.
