is nvidia still following the model where the previous generation is about equal to the new generation -10? meaning, is the 660 as powerful and more efficient as the 570?

Cute little square (GTX650) with high-flow air bracket and intel-shaped cooler. Gimme gimme gimme.... Now Palit make a low-profile one, so that there is some competition against this.
