I wish routers could have reviews with more thorough benchmarkings.

IE: processor benchmarks, verified power transmissions, and other measurements.

james888This website gives the most thourough reviews I have found. Helped me decide on my netgear 3700. www.smallnetbuilder.com/
I used that site about 2 years ago when I picked out my 2 Bay NAS. Great little site.

+1. Unfortunatley routers are usually things that people don't really care about (unless they're not working). They are often provided by ISP's and are too often locked down.

These guys need to start shipping WORLDWIDE instead of NATIONWIDE. Here in the UK we've got nothing but crappy Netgear, TP-Link, Belkin, D-Link, wireless AP's and the only way to get one of these AMPED units is to order one from a US seller on ebay and we end up paying about a 3rd of the price we paid for the unit itself on shipping to send it to the UK.

Ive used TP-Link Wireless AP's but they are extremely buggy even with firmware updates. Im currently using a Edimax AP which has been perfect since i got it but a more higher powered one would be nice...

The only thing which comes anywhere close to an Amped Wireless AP is a Cisco Linksys WAP4410N. which i am very tempted to try out I must say.

I now have this AP and it's very awesome the range is HARDCORE!!! seriously... I'm able to connect and access the net around 175 ft away! blows my netgear out of the water! very easy to configure and setup.. I am liking it. Only problem is the reboots needed for some settings... if they fix it they are perfect! ;-) good going amped!

well Poking around ebay, sellers are shipping for $43-45. In total it means i would be paying $209.67. not really worth it when i could just buy a few Edimax 7416APn V2's which im currently using and just daisy chain them lol. though having too many repeaters will most likely add a bit of latency to the connection.

repeaters will halve your B/W as well... and more to mess with....
