Wonder whats the diff. between the My Cloud EX2 and the EX2 Ultra? My EX2 has WD Reds as well. Maybe the Ultra uses the WD Red PRO disks?

It still uses Reds but has double the memory and improved CPU: Marvell ARMADA 385 1.3Ghz dual-core with 1GB vs Marvell ARMADA 370 1.2Ghz single-core with 512MB.

well it's not stackexchange here... kind of odd to wait around for an answer if it's just official specs, everyone looks up specs all the time in the first place while a discussion is for experiences & philosophies

(although i know some of these enclosed models dont list the internal drive so you need people to open them up or detect in software)

Sorry, @dorsetknob

I wish I could do that, but unfortunately, we currently do not have any discounts or promotion for the WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra. :(

@Jizzler is right, that is the main difference, @VulkanBros
They improved the processor and upped the RAM in the new version. :)
