Razer Adds Two New Members to Their Hammerhead Gaming Earphone Family

Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, has announced two new additions to the Razer Hammerhead in-ear headset family. The new earphones feature a digital connection regardless of Android or iOS - no 3.5 mm connection, a highly durable aluminum chassis, flat cables and bi-flange ear tips for passive noise isolation. They also come with inline remotes to provide quick control for audio fidelity from the 10 mm dynamic drivers. The Razer Hammerhead USB-C is the perfect companion for the Razer Phone and other devices without 3.5 mm audio jacks, while the Razer Hammerhead for iOS Mercury Edition blends with iPhone colors.
Razer Hammerhead USB-C houses a custom-tuned DAC converter with digital output to produce clean, unprocessed audio from a USB-C enabled Android phone. On the other hand, the Razer Hammerhead for iOS Mercury Edition leverages digital output of Apple Lightning connector source-direct audio without processing for maximally pure, accurate, mobile sound.

Pricing:
  • Razer Hammerhead USB-C: 79.99 USD/ 89.99 EUR
  • Razer Hammerhead for iOS Mercury: 99.99 USD/ 109.99 EUR.
Availability:
  • RazerZone.com: Starting Nov. 17, 2017 at 8 a.m. PST / 11 p.m. SGT
  • Worldwide: Q1 2018

Flat cables, I wonder how that handles, can't think of much profit, they're stiff. If it really is more durable, it may be a good find, its always the first thing that breaks - or rather, the connectors.

Expensive but will this be able to handle higher quality from the usb-c port?
