NVIDIA GeForce 531.61 WHQL Drivers Released, Support the New RTX 4070

NVIDIA today released the latest version of its GeForce Game Ready drivers. Version 531.61 WHQL comes with support for the new GeForce RTX 4070 "Ada" graphics card that goes on sale from today. The drivers also introduce official support for RTX Video Super Resolution, the new CUDA 12.1 compute API. The drivers also increases the number of concurrent NVENC sessions from 3 to 5 on RTX 40-series GPUs. Among the issues fixed with this release are game stability issues with "Assassin's Creed Origins when using the older 531.18 drivers; random game crashes noticed on RTX 30-series GPUs in "The Last of Us: Part 1," and black screen/hang noticed in the shader compile screen of "Hogwarts Legacy."

I guess I'm staying on 531.29 a little longer, no issues with the games I play at the moment...

Just FYI that issue has been in the drivers for years now. If you aren't impacted, don't worry about it.

These drivers are better for me.

More performance in MW2, and I think it's running cooler - RTX3080

that's not a new issue, been around for some time

At this stage no one knows if its even an nvidia problem, or something in the OS causing it to spike

Question for those with latency spikes: Found this snippet about the long-known MPO overlays

MPO (Multiplane-overlays) are amazing you can play games in windowed mode as if their running in fullscreen exclusive with all the same performance advantages. : nvidia (reddit.com)
I hope NVIDIA will continue to further develop MPO capability to support all displays, and bitdepths, as currently it's not supported on 10/12bpc, and only 1 monitor get's assigned MPO.
Are the people with issues the ones running out of the supported setup, or the ones within it?

I run dual 10 bit displays, so i'd be unsupported and seem problem free.
