Left 4 Dead Freaky Free Friday Held Over, Backed by Weekend Offer

The free 24-hour trial of Left 4 Dead (PC) is being extended through the night. The free trial includes access to the recently released Survival Pack DLC, which introduced a new multiplayer game mode and two additional Versus campaigns. Those who wish to give L4D and the Survival Pack a free try now have until Saturday at 5 pm GMT, with no obligation to purchase. Survival Mode: USUALLY (not everyone does this, just most) camping in a corner somewhere and killing unending waves of infected until you die or become bored and ragequit. Also includes a friends' only leader board for all the e-peen enthusiasts out there :roll:

Plus the two other campaign maps Dead Air and Death Toll are included into Versus mode. I'd also assume multiple game fixes lol.

Well it was a nice play, i might actually buy this game if it gets any cheaper in retail stores and is still popular by that time ;-)

Well im an old fasion gamer who likes to have a boxed game with manuals and shiny disks, plus i dont have a credit card to purchase it with :slap:

You could just buy it retail, I did when it first came out. It cost like $90AUS compared to like the $60AUS it was on steam at the time, but I didn't really care. Having the disks does equal faster installs though, unless you've got 10MB/s net or faster lol. Also a Visa card works for buying games off steam.

Doesn't take me long to download content from Steam. I generally get like 1.5 Megabytes/sec or more. That being said, you know you can backup your games to DVD in case you ever need to reinstall.
