I can get more powerful psu.This is probably the purchase of GTS 250?and what better company to buy? any opinions on Palit?

Palit is a good company. Most of the companies are about the same. Most use a reference board about the only difference is the cooler used most of the time. What choices do you have?

Raidmax is not a good power supply (honestly I dont think there is much difference between a 400 or 500 watt one of those). I would definitely get a 9600GT and save the extra money.

At your resolution that would be plenty to play games with.

I am not positive but that looks like the long version of the 250 with 2 separate 6 pin power plugs. I would REALLY not use that one.

But I still recommend getting a 9600GT instead. Take a look at the For Sale thread as there are always people selling them for a good deal.

all game i will play at 1280 x1024 resolution.now i have 7100gs, but was radeon 1600xt.i live in lithuania..

The 9600GT is 1,000,000 times better than those. (*the 250 would be overkill till you get a faster comp)

And at that resolution will play all new games at med to high settings. I would be careful though as there are some 9600GTs that dont need the extra power connections. I notice their memory speeds are lower so I would get the 9600GT that has 1800mhz memory speed and needs a power plug. Your power supply should be able to run it as long as yuo dont force it too much.

9600GT is the best option for you, your comp and your resolution.

If you insist on getting a better card than I say the GTS 250 is the best of the 3 choices.

the only problem i can see with that card is it is the older one that draws more power and uses 2 6pin...

400watt PSU or 500watt psu if its raidmax forget it that gts250 will choke get a 4770 or a 9600gt what ppl are forgetting is he has an ORIGINAL athlon X2 4200+ with 2 gbs of ram and is gaming at 1280x1024 the 9600gt is the card i would recommend as well because any other gpu above that will be seriously bottlenecked at that resolution and his psu is so low on quality i highly doubt it could supply proper power to anything higher then a 9600gt and last.

so in recap get a 9600gt and save some money because without a decent cpu or monitor anything higher is a WASTE of money
