the price is justifiable and reasonable for the "fastest gpu on the planet" being sold on release day and Doom II isn't the badest game out right now.. alot of great dx11 titles coming.

who knows how bad company 2 is gonna run on dx11 / max

I dont blame them. The 5870 is a hell of a bargain. The 5970 makes the 5870 look like last generation, lol. With no real competition (Nvidia), might as well make some damn profit! 5970 is one hell of a card, and is certainly worth $599.

So if nvidia sold a card for 1200USD that had 2x the performance as 5970, would also be worth it? Video cards should not cost this must now nice most games are bogged down to console specs, MW2 runs 20-480 fps on this one, my point is given
