AAF Optimus DCH Audio Modded Driver for Windows 10/11 - For ALL HDAUDIO Enumerator Chips

@AAF Optimus
Dolby Digital Encoder not Working for NVIDIA HDMI AUDIO Driver.

I uninstalled everything mentioned on Page 1 and including NVIDIA audio Driver and installed it but I don't see Dolby Digital in the audio format or anything.

And when I try to see if sound works, test tone says failed and no sound.

regular NVIDIA audio works.

For anyone interested I just stumbled across a post on the StationDrivers forum where a newer version of the DolbyAPO driver than the one currently included in the AAF package was posted.
The source of this newer driver is straight off MS Update.
As an experiment I thought I might try to manually update these components and it appears I was successful.
What I did was booted the PC off a WinPE ISO and basically replaced the relevant files in my C:\Windows\System32\ folder with the corresponding ones in the updated package, with the exception of:

Code:
dax3_swc_aposvc.inf
dax3_swc_aposvc.cat
default_settings.json
Default_settings.xml

As these would likely break Alan's customizations and workarounds.
I also did the same with the files in the Driver Store (C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository.......\DolbyAPO)
Just search for that folder on your system.

And then restarted the PC.

I'm assuming that digital signature verification will need to be deactivated for this to work.

Only to install an Inf (which you skipped), the files should already be signed by Dolby. The replacements in the driver store might be an issue.
The catalogue file, will not have those files in it so a re-install now will fail (likely), but it might still work.

I have found the problem with SOUND BLASTER X-FI MB5. The audio driver wasn't even installed, It tried to, but still High Definition Audio Device. Must be fixed in the next update. Thank you so so so much.

I'm not stupid or anything, but what does this mean?
Supports HDMI Audio
  • NVIDIA (Separate Driver)
And where is this separate driver? :D

The current driver has errors, stereo works, but as soon as I set to 5.1 or 7.1 my whole system jerks, and I no longer hear sound. When I switch back to stereo, everything works fine. Realtek driver.

While it may not be be a universally perfectly working driver on every single system/chipset/OS environment scenario out there, yet from my own personal experience id does in fact work rather well - yet it's on us, the grateful users on the receiving end to make ourselves familiar with at least the basics of how the driver works when it gets installed successfully and spend some time studying the structure - file locations, registry data, configuration, etc...
For example, taking notes, screenshots, reg dumps, and gradually making sense of the .inf files can definitely come in handy when something breaks (inevitable...) yet now you've gained some extra knowledge and skill to potentially fix it yourself without the hassle of sanitizing everything and starting from scratch.
One major culprit with basically all modded drivers is Win Updates and MS Store UWP apps getting auto updated which often end up crippling the whole thing.
StopWinUpdates V9 (specifically V9) - warmly recommended.
Fully configurable...
Activate/deactivate updates to your own liking, with/without Defender security patches and most importantly without blocking access to MS Store apps and updates, yet without anything auto updating unless sanctioned by you.

Did you get this to work with NVIDIA HDMI Audio Drivers?

Did you get this to work with NVIDIA HDMI Audio Drivers?
Incompatible with the PCEE4 dolby implementation in Alan's original driver mod I believe - as opposed to the more modern APO component design present in the AAF releases.
You could however simply remove the NVIDIA HDMI audio mod driver and replace it with AAF...

the post said: support c-media
my headset use a cmedia dac (cm108)
USB\VID_0D8C&PID_0012&REV_0100&MI_00
so that means this driver will support my dac????

NEW DCH DRIVERS RELEASED IN GITHUB
Reworked Driver

ATTENTION: You will need to uninstall the currently installed version before continuing with this installation. A condition has been imposed for this due to problems reported by some users.

ATTENTION: Before installing this modified driver, be sure to remove any and all residues from previous Realtek audio drivers or even if there are residues from previous versions of my mods, if they persist. For this you will need the DriverStoreExplorer (by @lostindark). Remove any drivers whose vendor is "A-Volute", "Dolby", "DTS", "Creative", "AAF Optimus", etc in the Sound, Video and Game Controllers, Extensions, Software Components and Audio Processing Objects categories.

CLARIFICATION: Due to some accusations against me for allegedly including types of viruses or including fraudulent codes for data collection, cryptocurrency mining and other purposes, from now on, when the installation of the packages is finished, a copy of the original script in text file format on Desktop. In this file, the user will have full knowledge of the procedures that I have included in the installer.

I think someone has something against your driver modifications. And would rather have you buy the hardware for it. :toast:

Surely not the first to ask this but didn't find it on first glance so I humbly ask:
Should I enable both?
- Dolby Atmos (app)
- DTS (Speakers or Ultra)
Do they mingle with each other? Should I use one of them?

I used only Atmos for a long time until the app stopped working for me - turned then to DTS, to later find a fix for atmos.
Now both work but I don't know how to use them.

Right now my config is:
- Atmos (app only) on dynamic option + DTS headphones (selected in windows speaker option).

I know it is a thing of taste but would like to know some background about what those apps/options do and whether it makes it worse to mix them since (at least dolby dynamic mode) they seem to adapt to the things I listen and probably conflict with each other.

Thanks!

Its really down to you and your ears, and otherwise any delay by adding more processing. You really need to make that decision for your self.

Since the new drivers I have a problem, only 2.0 works. As soon as I set it to 5.1 or 7.1, I no longer hear any sound and, for example, YouTube videos jerk in precise seconds. As soon as I switch back to 2.0, everything works again. The picture stops, and every second it moves a bit further. "Realtek Driver Windows 11

Hello Alan Finotty, I'm Brazilian and I created my account specifically to participate in your channel here on the forum. There's a new version of the Realtek audio driver, version 6.0.9601.1. You can also check weekly, as there's usually an update for the new driver. You just need to get a new version of the audio driver, and possibly make some adjustments, like adding the latest APO, latest codecs, and some information contained in the audio playback folder by default to the audio driver information. If possible, I would like you to check if there's a newer version of the Dolby Atmos audio components and Dolby Atmos for other apps. The Dolby Atmos software in your repository is from 2021, and I believe that the 2023 version should have been released, with new features and improved audio resolution response and API within the Dolby Atmos software file (the app available on the Microsoft Store).

Here is the website where you can check the drivers weekly. I'm not sure if it's suitable for your driver pack, but from what I understand and after extensive searching on the internet, this link provides the latest version for Realtek audio drivers. Thank you. Here is the link: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/downl...xx-amp-intel-2xx-3xx-4xx/td-p/819057/page/286

Speaking about updates and new audio codecs, here is a GUI displaying DTS Studio Sound, unfortunately not added to your audio drivers. I had an HP notebook, the HP d030br, which came with this audio interface as standard. Surprisingly, it provided the most original and pure audio I experienced on my notebook. I bought this notebook back in 2014 from an online store here in Brazil. I used alanfox2000's audio drivers and updated them weekly until I realized that FF00 was the standard. Thank you very much, dear Alan Finotty. I truly appreciate your audio driver; it has been immensely helpful to me, delivering the purest quality I've experienced. Unfortunately, I couldn't install it on my HP d030br notebook because the Intel Graphics 4000 card is heavily worn. Whenever it auto-updates with the Windows Update Manager (while installing the Microsoft proprietary graphics card), the notebook shuts down after a few seconds, freezing the screen and emitting a terrible noise when playing any video or music. But that's the situation. Thank you, Alan Finotty. This is my message for you. A warm hug, dear friend, as since I discovered your driver on GitHub, I hold you in high regard. Best wishes, and until next time.
