What "consequences?" That some people have their panties in a bunch and have decided that acting entitled is the way to go?

Like Solaris said, those of you truly upset should get together via PM and prepare a thoughtful proposal, and submit to W1zzard for consideration.

At the end of the day though, you have to be prepared for a NO answer. Quite simply, you'll be asking a question and asking for something. If you are asking a question, it means you don't know the answer and are willing to accept whatever the response is.

And owning a website DOES give him the right to decide what content happens here. If a few don't like it, so what? There are always new people joining. It's a prerogative of ownership.

Of course it GIVES him the right I was merely pointing out that just because something can be done unilaterally or in this case with some mod input does not mean you can not come to the wrong conclusion on an issue in the end. As for there always being new people joining while that may be the case in most instances they do not stick around in the same way that many of the more noticeable members do, losing a valued and contributing member of a community over something as trivial as not having a voice in decisions would be silly. All most people want is to simply be heard and feel like they have been acknowledged, after that point accepting any answer even the one you do not like is far far easier.

I'll only add this... vaping is technical, and it saves lives. I smoked for 40 years, couldn't quit. Vaping saved me. Both my parents dead from smoking, but it didn't get me.
It requires proper knowledge of what type batteries to get, what amperage ect, it requires knowledge of ohm's law, watts ect. It usually requires the use of a usb port.
In short, it needs proper technical expertise for it to be safe. In a forum like General Nonsense, that is not really reflected. This is a serious electronic device, that can have
computer input, that can save millions of smokers lives. It's not for kids, it's not playtime. A properly moderated thread I think would be appropriate. Just my thoughts.

I get too upset talking about vaping and how it can save peoples lives. People who have smoked 30+ years are never going to quit using gum or patches.
Chantix has a 7% success rate, and has killed 450 people in NA since it was introduced because its a stupid anti-depressant.....
Vaping is the only way, it has a 90% success rate, and it is being supressed because of the governments and just plain stupidity.....

To be fair, the consequences of a "truly unfair" dictatorship is it quickly becomes a one man show... and a "dictatorship of yourself" is kind of lame.
