Before and after RX 580 to RX 5700XT and probably after 1.05 patch.
The CPU is definitely working harder and the frame rate is much more level throughout. Still no major flaws, which is great.

yeah, that's common problem with Galaxy/GOG version.
After specify Galaxy's "temporary game update folder" to my external drive, now it can be update without deleting any files in my NVME. :peace:

Agreed. It really seems like the devs are trying to right the ship.

It should also be noted they are rumored to be working on expansions and addon packs already.
I'd hope they're prioritizing making the current offering stable for all before moving on to additional content, although I'd imagine it's a separate team working on DLC.

Think about it though, it's meant to be an ambient thing, something to set the tone of the moment in the background. In that capacity I think the OST rocks!
Really like the score. Ambient tracks from games/movies are definitely a guilty pleasure of mine.

unless made correctly, aka one player V and all the other player are either "ventriloquist npc" (joke)"fixer", "animals, tyger and mael" "ncpd, MaxTac, random vegetable" i can't see any fun in it... and nope i do not really like co-op in a strong story driven game (imho main reason why FFXV "MP" part failed)

bah, luckily it will be optional if implemented ... (most likely a co-op "a la mass effect" with better implementation i hope, for those who await it )
I was just talking with my one buddy about multiplayer. He brought up a good point that maybe it'll be similar to Watch Dogs, which I found to be actually conceivable. To clarify, the only WD multiplayer I've played was from the original where you were invaded and had to find the guy hacking you or something. Could see it being something like that, but GTA Online-style PvP, especially with how crazy strong you can become after really delving into some of these builds, I can't ever see happening.

Right now I'm playing a katana/mantis character with no body spec, reflex as primary, and cool as secondary. No hacking, stealth, tech, crafting. Only times I'll take specs in those is if I see a cybernetic that benefits my build and I need the spec to use it. Otherwise, just pure speed, armor buffs, and crit boosts. Stacked AND chained buffs all around. The idea is to surge into groups out of nowhere and massacre anybody. Be so quick I can literally b-line from one end of the city to the other on foot, wrecking any unfortunate baddies in my path in a matter of seconds and never getting hit.
Sound similar to what I've got going on. Started out rushing to 12 Cool and dumping points in Stealth, and then sorta picked up Katanas and started prioritizing Reflexes > Blades. Have been leveling up Crafting also. Only a few points away from unlocking the ability to craft legendary items, which'll be a really nice damage boost for the three iconic Katanas I have (missed the Satori :( but have the Scalpel and Cocktail Stick - been maining the Black Unicorn since it has a faster swing speed and the bleed chance synergizes well with the bleeding perks in the blades tree. Would use the Scalpel but I still have a soft spot for the stealth/hacking playstyle and just can't get myself to swap to a Sandevistan/Kereznikov yet. Playing on Very Hard has proven somewhat challenging unless I opt for full stealth, although I'd imagine that's mainly because I've dipped my toes in both the stealth and blades pools instead of sticking to just one. Disappointed that the point reset item you can buy only resets perk points and not attributes. Doesn't really let you fully change your build if you're still limited to the perks that are available based on your attribute point distribution. Maybe that'll be something they change in the future. Would be nice to be able to wipe the slate clean and do a full 180 for a strictly netrunner build or something but without being able to change attributes, I'd have to start a whole new playthrough.

Have you ever reached a point in a game where it clicks? Everything falls into place, you start caring about the plot and the characters, start going deeper into the different weapon systems, and become a badass mowing enemies down or sneaking your way by any means available. That’s what happened to me last night.
Yep, that happened to me as well. Maybe it was because Panam is romanceable, but I really found myself caring about her and her backstory. Johnny has grown on me a lot as well. Same with Takemura.

Wish I knew why I'm having so many problems, and why they're only happening on my main system. Anyone else with Zen+ having issues?
I've had very minor issues compared to what it sounds like you're dealing with. Just the floating objects (mainly the paper bags containing enemy loot after dumping their body into a container), only seen 3 T-poses, and a couple weird audio things (phone call crackly voice audio even though the NPC is sitting next to me, V footstep audio disappearing for a few seconds while running around, noticed a couple times where NPC's getting into a car with me there's no audio cue when they slam their car door, etc.). Only had one crash the day after launch but nothing since then.

So I recently did a clean install of windows and I backed-up my save game or so I thought. Nope, all corrupted. Oh well, starting new as a street kid.
Latest patch seem to be more stable on my rig, or it could be related to the clean install, who knows? Anyway, played for 2 hours without any hard resets.
I'm mildly optimistic.

No Cloud save? GoG has it I’m sure Steam would as per usual. Hopefully y weren’t too far in but you’ll be in the know I guess starting fresh again.

The game is still crashing.

I'm trying to clear out the Militech soldiers from Sunset Motel...

...and the game is consistently crashing every few minutes now. I've verified the game's integrity, uninstalled the performance mod, and it still crashes. This is getting ridiculous. I've never had a game crash this much before, not even heavily modded Bethesda games.

SFC returned no errors, my install drive has no SMART errors, my GPU is not overclocked, my CPU has a small undervolt (-0.1v offset).

My game has crashed 30 times between the 12th and today.

so you don't lose your saves like he did? That is the entire point of Cloud Saves...

While that's a fair point, it's not a deal breaker.
After work I guess I'll try even more troubleshooting. It's just weird that I'm only having problems with this game. Everything else is rock-solid stable on my system.

Driver version 460.89 installed through NVCleanstall.

I think I reinstalled the game a few days ago as part of my troubleshooting process. I use the offline installers instead of GOG Galaxy.
Don't use that driver it has crash issues.. Revert to the earlier one 460.79

I mentioned this a while back; while I haven't done extensive testing, I thought performance was better on 456.71. That was on my old GTX 780 rig. I'll probably start with that driver.

I'll also go back to installing WHQL drivers through NVCleanstall since doing a normal install seems to have made it worse.

this game looked great in the hype stage , when they were selling hope for it, but what was released is saints row 2020. i was real disappointed at seeing what came of this title.
im not saying a person cant like it, or that theyre bad for liking it, im just saying to me it was a let down. not that its anything new, nowadays devs sell dreams & deliver nightmares on a regular basis, with playable beta's destroying the gaming industry, expectations & peoples willingness to let almost anything slide, i reserve all hope, so it wasnt a surprise, just a disappointment.

Sound similar to what I've got going on. Started out rushing to 12 Cool and dumping points in Stealth, and then sorta picked up Katanas and started prioritizing Reflexes > Blades. Have been leveling up Crafting also. Only a few points away from unlocking the ability to craft legendary items, which'll be a really nice damage boost for the three iconic Katanas I have (missed the Satori :( but have the Scalpel and Cocktail Stick - been maining the Black Unicorn since it has a faster swing speed and the bleed chance synergizes well with the bleeding perks in the blades tree. Would use the Scalpel but I still have a soft spot for the stealth/hacking playstyle and just can't get myself to swap to a Sandevistan/Kereznikov yet. Playing on Very Hard has proven somewhat challenging unless I opt for full stealth, although I'd imagine that's mainly because I've dipped my toes in both the stealth and blades pools instead of sticking to just one. Disappointed that the point reset item you can buy only resets perk points and not attributes. Doesn't really let you fully change your build if you're still limited to the perks that are available based on your attribute point distribution. Maybe that'll be something they change in the future. Would be nice to be able to wipe the slate clean and do a full 180 for a strictly netrunner build or something but without being able to change attributes, I'd have to start a whole new playthrough.
The build I'm doing is working pretty well on very hard. I'm up at lvl18 reflexes and lvl14 cool. Really gotta almost max reflexes first. Top far left perks give massive damage boost for 100% health enemies (which they all will be) while the one below it gives increasing damage for each bit of health missing (finish off on the second swing.) What you get with the Blades tree really has all that's needed to survive. I didn't spec into any of the bleed stuff - if they live long enough to bleed, they will kill me. Obviously no counter either. I'm not leaving time for counters/dodges or I'm getting shot up from somewhere else and those buffs aren't saving me with nothing in body. All of my armor rating comes from cyberware and regular clothes. No defense buffs or stat boosts to be had, other than the movement defense boost, which... better keep moving or die fast. Right now my base defense is only ~450 with only 225Hp at level 21. But it's fine - enough to take a big knock or two is all I need and it's not like I'm easy to hit. Far right heals 20% for each kill, which is huge when you're chaining kills constantly. Again, later perks are most important. The attribute bonuses are good, too - make enemies miss more and solid crit chance bonuses. Glass cannon, essentially. Though Sandevistan is a lifesaver. I use that if I'm just getting fucked. Actually doesn't happen often, though. I can always drop away for a few seconds and let regen kick in. It's a finger snap to get back to the action with the mantis blades.

Cool, I generally don't use for stealth. The attribute boost does come in handy though. Crit damage and resistances boosts from cool itself. Very useful when you're getting in the fray. Stealth tree only has two perks that I think are worth it. From the shadows gives a 7 second, 50% crit boost starting combat. Hasty retreat gives a 50% speed boost for 5 seconds upon detection. But I'm not using it to run away... lets just say I want em to see me coming.

Cold Blood is what really makes it interesting. Between three perks, you get 5 guaranteed stacks that trigger for each kill, granting speed boosts. Another adds a chance for a stack for each crit... and nearly every kill is so those are good odds of landing two stacks on an early kill in the chain. But on top of that, you can get a 20 fuckin percent armor boost for each stack. 4 more levels and I can add 5% damage reductions. 30% movement boost. 10% melee boost. 100% health regen boost. PER STACK. It gets crazy really fast. You've got multipliers stacking on percentages pushing those stats wayyy up very quickly. In seconds, you become a crowd control machine. DPS out the yiz, landing crits the majority of the time which aren't only keeping you alive, but making you fucking stronger. It's kind of nuts.

Haven't even gotten much into the cyberware, yet. Got double jump, and legendary subdermal armor can be bought really early. Mantis blades don't need to be bought or acquired from a quest, and that's all I'll say. ;) Really, those three things go very far towards literally flying around fucking everything up from basically the start of the game if you go right for em. There are plenty of other useful little boosts to be had through body mods though. Some of the good ones require some investments in other atties. Might do that later. I could have reflexes and cool maxed by the 30's, which leaves me free to boost whatever suits me.

I am totally giving up on hacking here, though. Kind of a big decision. You can totally stealth without it. Moderate cool attribute boosts see to it, but you're really gonna be Solid Snakin it. It's a challenge. I really do find it's optional. You have what you need for missions and getting around. There is ALWAYS another way. You lose cash from jacking in, but gain it in selling loot, since there's little reason to break it down. I don't waste no time running this build. Half of the time 3 of of them are dead before they realize we're fighting :laugh: And by then, it's too late for the 7 others. You lose your stacks after 10 seconds, which is PLENTY of time. Be adding another perk that makes them drop one by one instead of all at once in two levels.

It's a fair trade, I think. But you really gotta be fast and execute when in combat. No sizing shit up. See a guy, get there fast and kill him. Go to the next closest, and the next closest. It's okay to have a couple far off - they can't really hit you much and when they do it often knocks of 1 fuckin hit point. Not to mention with movement boosts you can be on em fast, even using katana's, which I still use sometimes because they're more satisfying to hit with.
For all of the promised RPG elements with real choices and character tailoring/visual customization they completely nixed, the build system is fun and very RPG-like, even if it's all action. I feel like if they had been pushing this as a more linear action/adventure game from the start, it would've gone over a lot better. Playing it as that, I'm having tons of fun and am looking forward to trying some other play styles and seeing all of the dialogue as I go. I might even say it is one of the best in that arena right now. No, it might not save us from Fallout, nor is it the immersive open-world RDR2 adversary it was postured as, but for what it actually is, it's not bad at all! And the atmosphere is fucking A1. I love just being in these spaces. I feel like a kid, walking through my own sci-fi dream world with future fucking katanas and burning death blades tucked in my forearms.

I will say, I am missing not being able to really tailor clothes to the character, though... I wish that was decoupled from the armor rating a little so I could actually go by look. Fallout 4 had this issue too - lots of cool outfits to fucking die in. Wanna live forever? Get yourself some tattered rags and slap on ballistic weave. Toss good armor on top. Shlep through saving the hopeless goddamned apocalypse looking like a cobbled together schlub. At least there you could change the character's look fully. There is also a HUGE mod that lets you put the weave on whatever clothes you want and make armor pieces invisible, even make the pieces look like weights they aren't, or upgrade legendary stuff to higher weights. So finally you could look as cool as you were and get into SOME role play.

Like, am I making the worst fasion choices here? Or the best?

These feel like things they could and should address. More ways to make the character cool/unique, and more chances to see them. Would also like to see some expansions for 'practical' body mods... stuff that changes the way your character not only looks, but moves and fights. You see a lot of stuff on NPCs that you just can't get. Why can't I even have a gold plated arm? Getting on a tangent though. Good luck with your build. I don't get the halfhearted stat-wipe either. But it sounds like the attributes you have can still work.

Yep, that happened to me as well. Maybe it was because Panam is romanceable, but I really found myself caring about her and her backstory. Johnny has grown on me a lot as well.
I'm with you, Badlands DLC! Do want. Sometimes, I think it's my favorite place to be, in general. The city is fucking awesome, but I get some New Vegas vibes from the desert.

All of the story stuff is top notch. I've been sucked into all of it. These characters really feel real. Their tragedies, their pathos'. All very visceral and relatable, delivered perfectly through the scenes and performances given. Panam is one of my favorite characters, for sure. Also best ass in the game. But that speaks for itself. This game has a lot of incredible asses in it - the future really is amazing. So I feel like that's saying something.

That's the driver version I'm still on. Just played two hours without any CTD.
I’m on GoG so I can’t say if Cloud Saves work on Steam. It “there” for every game and clearly you have no data so obviously not working.

You're not far off, either. I think they've actually given up calling the game an RPG. It's more like a semi-linear, story-driven action adventure. As that, it's really good. Don't know why they had to go boasting all of these RPG elements that never made it in though. I wonder if at some point later, they decided to go in a different direction. Looking at Keanu... he wasn't even approached until very late in the process and yet is essentially the main character. I wonder how much got changed to get him in the game. Sounds crazy. But then, it sounds crazy to me that they could ever have thought this game would be remotely ready by April when they made that announcement, looking at what we got in December.

The save file corruptions being mentioned here brought me to this video by Upper Echelon Gamers. It certainly sounds like poor design has led to this save file corruption. Doing normal activities like crafting or taking items down into component materials seems to contribute to bloating, leading you more quickly toward the save file’s hard size limit. Dunno if it’s useful to anyone, but is certainly interesting.

It reminded me of Skyrim’s save file bloat and corruption issues with large/maxed mod counts installed, forcing modders to find ways to develop ways of making the save files more stable. That was especially useful for those who had the maximum number of mods. Maybe something similar will happen here with Cyberpunk 2077.

For all of the promised RPG elements with real choices and character tailoring/visual customization they completely nixed, the build system is fun and very RPG-like, even if it's all action. I feel like if they had been pushing this as a more linear action/adventure game from the start, it would've gone over a lot better. Playing it as that, I'm having tons of fun and am looking forward to trying some other play styles and seeing all of the dialogue as I go. I might even say it is one of the best in that arena right now. No, it might not save us from Fallout, nor is it the immersive open-world RDR2 adversary it was postured as, but for what it actually is, it's not bad at all! And the atmosphere is fucking A1. I love just being in these spaces. I feel like a kid, walking through my own sci-fi dream world with future fucking katanas and burning death blades tucked in my forearms.

All of the story stuff is top notch. I've been sucked into all of it. These characters really feel real. Their tragedies, their pathos'. All very visceral and relatable, delivered perfectly through the scenes and performances given. Panam is one of my favorite characters, for sure. Also best ass in the game. But that speaks for itself. This game has a lot of incredible asses in it - the future really is amazing. So I feel like that's saying something.

yhea, I feel like the initial desire was to keep doing the crescendo that they had with the Witcher series (which became less and less linear and more open) but as we know, the management wanted something "Palatial, feature rich, but fast" :shadedshu:. The Higher up had GTA/RDR2 in their scope, when Nier automata should have been the opponent all along.

What CDPR did with the witcher 2 was honestly brilliant (2 game in 1), and many games who launched recently showed that you don't have to ride on the openworld wave to become a commercial and critical sucess. I would even argue that a more "intimate" setting would have been a better introduction to night city (watson lockdown doesn't count in my book) if they plan to do a sequel. Right now, some parts of the city are really underused as far as the msq is concerned.
