This poll is to get an idea of how many members use Crossfire / SLI in their systems and if they do, what is their opinion on this matter. Is it worth it?
I have used Crossfire in the past, i had twin 1950Pro's before getting a HD4870 that was later replaced to my current HD4890. Note that during that time, my 1950pro's would not really engage too often. Depended on wich games. I could see when CFX was really in use because of the power gauge indicator on my UPS.
Even if CFX/SLI works (to a certain degree), i'd rather get a single powerfull card and i'm not talking about those X2 type cards either. My current 4890 can handle pretty much any game on 1920X1200. Less headaches, less power comsumption, less heat and a lot less expensive.
CFX/SLI is really not worth it in my books.
