This game is a lot more enjoyable with my X3D for some reason.. to answer my question from earlier

Put 9 1/2 hours into Forza today. Last time I did that I was 27 playing... Forza Motorsport 2! Me LIKEY!!! Nothing in recent years has grabbed me like this. When it isn't crashing (had one so far) it's amazing! Trying to tune the Forza Edition Mercedes and it getting better and better is more addictive than Nurishment's. Give it a few weeks and we should get everyone together for a race or twenty-three.

@freeagent Does your PC ever stay in one config? Just leave the X3D in there and ignore the clock speed haha.

I get crashes everytime at Rewards screen after the race on my 7900XTX and 7800X3D. Running newest drivers for for GPU and chipset, but still crashes everytime.

Same with 7800XT and R7 5800X. Even on my Xbox Series X there are issues...so not a good launch at all!

I haven't had any crashes, must be an AMD GPU driver thing.

And before I get torn a new one for even mentioning that.. who made the GPU in the Xbox..

Its just a software thing, it will be fixed shortly.

I did not have any crashes until Friday. The Game keeps crashing and the only thing that has been downloaded in the last 4 days were Windows updates Now the Game crashes in the features menu when loading a race. They have until my Game pass expires to fix this as I was getting hooked but loaded up some NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered and had some sweet arcade style fun last night. Of course Forza feels better with no 60 FPS limit.

No crashes here, but it just looks like swamp ass.

MS7 looks miles better, but feels so much more arcade-y.

Gave The Crew Motorfest trial a shot, but the first 30 minutes are pure cringe and the game is locked to 60fps.

I tested it on mine and my kids pc on "custom" settings.

Plays perfectly (ofc) on 4090. The 5700xt struggles a bit, but with following settings it's between high 60 to low 80s for the most part.
If I try to enable FSR on the Radeon card the game crashes to windows :wtf:

I really enjoy the game even though there are room for optimization

Moved on after my 4th attempt and those new drivers.
Game is also seemingly crap anyway with it's F2P grind.

Yea worst case it's basically the same as non-X3D, but when a game does use the extra cache it makes for a meaty bump.
Glad to see it's noticeable at 4K too though, that's my next move when cheaper cards start putting up 4090ish performance

The highs aren’t as high, but the lows are higher. It’s like a progression and regression if that makes sense?

Yep, it's like having better bandwidth management.
You might not have the highest peak speed, but speeds are rock solid w/o things dropping off at times.

The only way to skip practice is to start a practice, pause it, click exit then click skip practice. That option should be directly in the main racer menu.

New update today?? Its not on my steam yet
but it apparently fixes the level system with all upgrades unlocked by level 25
which means my halfway their AE86 is about to get a lot faster

Well, I installed AMDs beta update with support for Forza but Adrenalin still does not see it. Slight improvement in the benchmark.

In-game Patch notes not too informative, but the game still crashes after a podium finish. SIGH.

Nah, Intel breaks the speed barrier. This is a preview of the 7800x 4d. Everything ultra except resolution, dropped it to not get any CPU bottleneck.

Why are people so sure they are always right?

The person is from these forums as it is the only place I shared this.

If you think a 5800x3D with 32GB 3733mhz CL16 memory should be running it this bad there is likely more going on with you than my PC.

The game looks barely any better than 4 on XBOX 360 for what it requires hardware wise.

I get expected or more FPS in any other game, no DPC latency problems, no driver issues (Never had any) the GPU here is at stock.

The game sucks, I could not care less if the company went under tomorrow, I will just play the older games except for 7 since that crashes to desktop for no reason, an on going issue for many people for many years. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=forza+7+crashing+to+desktop&t=newext&atb=v396-1&ia=web

You know? The games progression system is completely free to play levels of grind but I guess simple minded people will think it's OK as they must either have no responsibilities or a job.

Yeah If I run my resolution that low my cpu performance goes up about 15% so it isn't apples to apples cpu wise when running at higher resolutions even while still CPU limited.

Does it? Mine is the same in all resolutions, just GPU bound % goes up.
