My name is Ger....i game.

i play every day.....not for long but its usually at the same time for a similar period of time.

It all started on PC when my first child was born, a boy. Late in life for me and her........we tried for 13 years and then :peace:

My wife enjoys the soaps on TV and in the UK they can run for 3 hours a night if you go from one to the next. Anyway the soaps on TV are addictive and my wife is well and truly under their spell. Perfect for me as a new Dad the opportunity to let my wife have a break and me to be Dad every evening.

Kids are peculiar creatures and often go to sleep which can provide a good opportunity for gaming and this is when my habit developed however unlike other addictions i have never really sunk into the spiralling depths of full blown addiction.

I game for about 1.5 hours a night.....more if i have company though i can quite happily go for several days without needing a fix, so i answered 15 hours a week

2 x 4 hrs
5 x 1.5 hrs

so,

come on people how hooked are you?

Steam tells me about 40hrs every 2 weeks so

4-5 hrs a night, on average.

I think its safe to say I'm a bit addicted. Just abit :)

I game for only 168 hours a week. ;)

Caps, you wanna put an "other" choice in there. :)

2-3.5 hours per evening for me after work and gym session on set days on week day and then weekends i tend to game for bit more depending on my mood.

7 days a week without a break - you noticed. :p

No, in reality it's quite sporadic. If I get into a game, then it could be a good 10 hours a week or more maybe, but otherwise I might not play any games at all for weeks. So yeah, my powerful and reassuringly expensive gaming rig investment is used for web browsing (including lots of Facebook!) and email most of the time, something a cheap ass terminal could do.

It varies from week to week but I average around 15 hours a week. If I had more free time it would probably be double that. Not too long now. I'm set for early retirement in 7 years at age 60. Plenty of time then for gaming and my other hobbies along with GF, family and friends.

Depends a bit, but 10-15h/week is a guesstimate. Sometimes way more, sometimes way less.

Have no Idea to be honest as I don't game everyday. There are weeks I play very little, then much more, I would guess I would average 10-15 per week.

I don't game as much as before when I was a student ... job drains all of my mental energy necessary for quality gaming so I do some mindless hack and slash genres during the week, on weekends I get to play more serious titles.
All in all 5*1 hrs + 2*6 hrs = 17 hrs, and that's kind of a maximum (often it's less)

I have the same thing...
Maybe I'm not worth that GTX1070 :ohwell:

But when I game I love that GTX1070...

Steam says I've been active 23.1 hours over the past 2 weeks.

Edit: Most of that would be from playing Fallout 4 - Nuka World, and Bioshock Remastered.

Steam says 11.9 hours the past 2 weeks...:ohwell:

Wintertime is coming, think I'll spend some more time gaming then.

40-60 hours a week for me, even if I lose a dedicated graphics card, which does happen at least once a year now. I still play older titles, just completed the thieves guild questline and the main quest for TES III: Morrowind. Didn't bother with Tribunal or Bloodmoon, because I don't meet the requirements for the fortify skill spells to make some cool OP enchants. Started playing Oblivon to try and have fun, plus compare what performance I am getting compared to one of my systems on which I played Oblivion for the first time (AMD Sempron 3800+ (single core! woo!), GeForce 7300GS, 1GB RAM). Multi-threading helps but not by much, because the engine is so bad, it's was only supposed to be good at saving and loading thousands of variables, other aspects of it are just, wrong.

At least I can get decent FPS on 1280x800-High settings, instead of 1024x768-Medium i used to play at. I owe my life to other modders for providing the optimization tools to be able to run the games on lower spec PC's.

I remember expecting Skyrim to have DX11 API support, it came with DX9 instead, I was so angry back then and kept ranting about it on multiple forums (like I am doing right now I suppose :D). I really wish BGS they would build a better engine from the ground up, so the developers, console and PC users alike can get the benefits, it's time for a change and pretty much everyone agrees.

Other games include UT99, UT2K4, Q3A, Serious Sam, Halo Custom Edition, CnC Generals Shockwave mod, Deus Ex (install it now mate, do it, you know you want to), Battlezone II and Airfix Dogfighter that I am trying to get through right now. Replaying most of them for the 15th time or something like that.

16-25 is my average game time. Sometimes during holiday season, I can stretch it to 30 hours a week in a single seating.

Steam says 42.1 hours past 2 weeks but 3dmark is stuck open and cant close it even through task manager so i dont know if thats racking up the amount. But i do game alot on origin for mass effect!

now that i'm an employed bum vs an unemployed one, my gaming hours had to be cut :(

@Mussels

thankyou for amending the poll ........80 + hours option has been added.

26-40 depends on the free time
