good day tpu! I'm having a dilemma whether to buy a psu from fsp or ocz. For they are the psus available locally that comes with a cheap price. i'm looking for a 600w supply, so my choices are modxstream and stealthxstream or blue storm and everest 85 plus. So I hope many would give their insights about it. thanks!

welcome to TPU
can give as your price range, please
about my advice OCZ from your chooses, but if u want my chose i will say corsair

stealthxtreme2 is excellent

If you're going 600w, I would say Corsair.

Regardless of what the OP posted he has two options : Corsair or Seasonic.

On topic : go OCZ modxstream, modular + cheap = win. :D

we have corsairs here, but I don't think it would suit my budget. OCZ are priced around 80 usd here

FSP Blue Storm. What wattage?

600W is better

Any Seasonic PSU will do the task.

I'm planning about this setup
athlon II x4 640
asrock 880gm-le
g.skill ripjaws cl7 ddr3 1600 8-7-7-24
gts 450 1gb

as you can see, I'm a bit tight on a budget. So suggest a cheap brand that provide a decent performance. Thanks!

take the 600W OCZ modxstream. nuff said

If the OCZ ModXstream is cheaper than the FSP, then take the OCZ. If it's the FSP that is cheaper, take the FSP. As said before, either one is good.

If it helps you with your choice: I have a 600w OCZ ModXstream Pro, and it is stable (tested with OCCT) with my Core2duo e8400, 4GB DDR2-1066 and Radeon HD4850.

nu uh :p

just an excuse for you to post #10900

fsp blue storm pro is cheaper. how about everest 80plus and 85plus? 500 and 600w?

yes indeed it would...

will work just as good as any of the above

I went with Corsair recently myself, 950W. Corsair has a good rep. Relevant because you don't want your PSU kamikazing your system should it implode.
