PC keeps killing my mice

Try in safe mode and see if it is the same and if so or even if not create another profile and log in to that and retest......Could be some setting your son did that brings mouse compatibility to naught.

i tried safe mode and a different HDD with W 10 on it as opposed to my sons W7 HDD.

No, doesn't work that way. Voltages push but current pulls. That is, the current is determined by the load, in this case, by the mice. That's why a power supply will only "pull" from the wall the wattage it needs. The voltage, however, remains constant regardless if the PSU needs 100w or 500w.

But if the voltage is improperly regulated, and say 140V is coming out of the wall instead of 120V, problems will happen.

Think Ohm's Law. I = E/R (Current = Voltage/Resistance).

They are modelling matches, i think they are rejects from a match factory. A lot of them are bent and have the grain running at weird angles so they are difficult to work with.

I had a huge sack of quality ones but i ran out. I keep the not so good ones out of this batch for the cuts. i only have about 200 left so i need to find a source of quality modelling matches before i become insaner.

If you've been plugging the mouse into the same port, have you checked that port to make sure it's not shorted? Rather easy to do.

i have tried various devices in all the ports. I also tried the, by then, broken mice in all the ports to check.

i have told him not to plug his phone into the PC just in case.
