SSD-Z: Information tool for Solid State Drives and other disk devices

you might only be slowly updating this, but slow progress is good progress :D

to bad not fully functional on RAID

I like this, and everything works except NVMe support. Keep improving it and this will be another great -Z tool...

Please add a support for SSD GOODRAM CX 200 series in the next beta version.
And thank you for good program!

Unfortunately, the GOODRAM CX200 does not have a unique name to identify it by. The SSD is simply showing as "GOODRAM" and can thus not easily be identified from other GOODRAM SSD models, which are also simply named "GOODRAM". Silicon Power, another SSD manufacturer, does the exact same thing.

The GOODRAM CX200 is using a Phison PS3110-S10 controller, and has 15nm Toshiba TLC NAND.

This is probably beyond the scope of this particular program, but even so, i hope it doesn't hurt requesting it anyway :)

There are many SSDs that come with a crappy software, bells and whistles aplenty but zero functionality. Have thus far had three different SSDs whose software didn't allow for a manual, on demand trim function. In newer windows that's a non issue, we have 'Optimize drives', but in Windows 7.. it is.
What non brand-exclusive software exists out there is also lacking the above QoL feature. Would be nice if you could add it in.

@ Aenra, I am on win 7, I used smartdefrag and it detects SSDs but even if it doesn't there is a manual toggle HDD/SSD and the program takes care of "manual trim". Also I'm using Piriform Defraggler which also reconises my Samsung 850 EVO as an SSD and my Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 as an SSD and my Sandisk Ultra USB 3.1 as removable. All three are in smart defrag as trim. Smart defrag is the goto tool as it defrags any fragmented files on all your drives and trims the flash drives with one click. Then to defrag free space (consolidate files to the inside of the disk which is faster), I use defraggler. Ultradefrag gives you a MFT size. Its a look up table which will be bigger if you have lots of small files. I have 1.06Gb MFT on any drive which I've used to store a certain folder.

So this is abandoned or?...

Has this turned into vaporware?

OP hasnt logged in for 8 days, but hasnt posted here in over a year.

so yeah its probably dead.

maximum sad face

It's ok... doesn't provide much info.

It wont support much info for newer drives and potentially some older drives. This software isnt being maintained any longer by the OP.

If this program is dead, please lock this thread. Someone brought it back from the dead and I thought it was new.

Bummer. I really liked this little program.

Me too. And it never had the update for my Intel 750 series to show full, accurate info (for example, incorrectly shows TRIM and S.M.A.R.T. unsupported). So yeah, bummer.

amazing ty for this!!!

CrystalDiskInfo is a good alternative?

Seems like there's no more updates to this software? Is there an alternative?
TPU is building up a database, that's about it so far. The problem is these drives will be sold as "Model X" but have a dozen hardware variants, and software can't read those variants easily.
