3440x1440 please.....

When I was shopping for a monitor, I wanted to go for a 40" 4k monitor from Philips, but I am glad I went for the widescreen. Scaling is not required, and games feel amazing. It is even better for productivity.
And of course it is easier to drive than a 4k. I get 40-60 FPS in most games at Ultra.

1440@144hz when possible. Tougher games I run 90hz Freesync.

5870x1080. It's not without it's problems. you get some stretching and warping of the image. The advantages in Sim style games far outweigh those negatives.

1080p @60Hz, im fine with this or maybe move to 1080p 144Hz later, don't want to get lower frames on coming years on my 1070 on higher resolution as i don't upgrade my GPU often

I remember someone did this as well responding to a post earlier in this thread, of someone who did this poll about a year ago. I am interested in the results. IIRC their was some snide remarks from the self titled "elite" (who had the same parts minus monitors) stating that 1080 gaming was dead and no one on this resolution needed anything more than a 960. Which interestingly enough wasn't the case 2 years prior when the 960 was released and the steam stats still recognized 1080 as the standard res.

point being. Even to this day 1080 drives down the FPS in some games. I am surprised to see the results given what back then they would have you believe as a dead resolution.

I guess 4k realistically is cost prohibitive.

4K @ 60Hz atm.

Yep, you get it! I've played 2 Games just in the last two days which with details maxed out still push my 980Ti to 99% usage, 5 or more GB VRAM and run at 65 Celcius with 75% fan to maintain 60fps on a 1080p monitor.

Not going up anytime son due to head moving too much looking to the screen.

900p through 1080p 75Hz, that extra frequency really helps keep the visuals smooth, especially when turning the camera in first person. Most monitors from 2007-2008 are fine even today.

I tried 900p eyefinity/surround once, so much warping. I think one big screen is better than 3 small ones combined. Now that I've tried, I think I am never going triple monitor ever again, almost no games have proper support. Old games are completely out of the question.

1600p for things that my Fury can't handle at 2160p, 2160p for everything else. 60hz on both. I don't play anything that would really benefit from over 60hz anyway (tend to play grand strategy and 4x, no FPSes), and I value good color reproduction over refresh rates.

Currently at 1080, once I get a second GTX 970 ill move onto my 1440P 27" screen.

I game at both 4K60 and 5760x1080p@144hz.

1440p 60Hz, but considering getting something with better refresh rate. Had a buggy AOC 4K screen and although the resolution was amazing, my 970 couldn't drive it in most games. I guess in a generation or two we might get there. My 1070 at 1440p is a good match imho.

2560 x 1440 -144Hz

1080p 144Hz.

Will upgrade to 4K within a year, hopefully.

1080p, 144MHz and definitely not changing that.

1) I like my eyes. Really; wonderful things, we use them for everything. I want to keep using them. Without glasses. Less is more here.
2) I honestly don't need more. Partly mentality, i won't buy something because that's what they tell me is the 'new' thing to go for, partly what i'm accustomed to. I still feel comfortable staring at a spectrum screen, let alone my current one. More to me is just.. superfluous. The western mentality, consumer-be-praised kind of superfluous.
3) Again mentality, except this one derives from a more general stance. I refuse to even consider sofa-gaming, chillax chairs, etc. I'm getting very specific images coming to mind when i think of that, but since you're probably getting my point, will refrain from expanding any further, lol

All things in good measure. Hobbies are hobbies, your body is your body :)

3440x1440 @100hz :)

VR resolution myself (2160x1200), but I also have a 1080p monitor that I don't really use very often now. Everything I do ends up being in the Rift now even regular PC gaming so I can have a much larger monitor (as opposed to my 27" LG).

I thought about picking up a 1440p monitor, but it seems unlikely now after the last 5-6 months of VR.

I'm special - 1200p @60Hz. Would like to move up to 1440p, but that's currently too expensive.

Currently still gaming @ 1080p (21.5"), will buy a 27" 1440p 60Hz IPS monitor in May.

Probably this Acer one (90% sure :D):

Acer K272HUL 27" WQHD 1ms 1440 At less than $200 on sale was no-brainer! This has been flawless for over a year now :rockout:

I want/ed to buy this:

ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q curved IPS Gaming Monitor - 34" 21:9 Ultra-wide QHD
(3440x1440),
overclockable 100Hz , G-SYNC™

The word ( Overclockable ) tempt me a lot:laugh:

But honestly i don't know if it's worth to upgrade from my current Monitor to this one:confused:

@P4-630

Any thoughts?

1080p @72hz <-refresh o/c from 60hz

Wanting a 1440P or 1080P 120hz monitor depending on price and panel type, after using IPS and PLS I'm hesitant to go back to a TN panel :p
