It has this dark fuzzy look and in super dark areas its really unplayable, because i can't see sh**. I turn the gamma up up or whatever, but it made the fuzzy mess worse. Any idea whats going on?

you sure it's not just a game effect? fear 2 has some freaky shit goin on...

It has this fuzzy look in it, the levels are really dark and the small screen isn't helping lol. Just trying out the demo, works pretty good at all medium settings, but the game is really dark looking and graininess.

Here is a better example

The graininess is a game effect, and the flashlight helped me see into the dark

lol ya for the fuzzyness in the game thats the film effect they have in the game with the latest patch you have the option to turn it on or off and as for the dark the game it self is a very dark game and its made to be like that the flashlight does wonders in dark areas

yea use the flashlight....

Buy a new GPU and PC :D

More jokes right?

I fix the problem tho, by bumping up the settings. And what EiSFX may be right, but see i am playing the demo.

The grainyness is a game effect. Annoyed the shit out of me, but there is a mod on the internet that takes it away.

I am next month, 2 of them. A Radeon and a Geforce card. I think i already mention this already. I have no choice really, because of the way my system is design , slot wise

I have no choice but to use pcie card for future use on this computer, and use that pci slot for a sound card. So i will pick up everything early/mid next month. My 8400gs or 2400hd card didn't fit, so i had to remove that brown audio cord to be able to fit my 8400gs in it.

its supposed to look like that they made it like your looking though high tech goggels, and its supposed to be dark to thats whats the flash lights for

EDIT that doesnt fix that game from being Sh**

Your card maybe?

u2konline, as mentioned from others this is a game effect within the game. use the flashlight in dim/dark areas. to your Graphics card issue not fitting you may need to infest in a new Case. maybe you can make room for a say Powercolor 4670. PSU Guide says your System could handle that.

As has been mentioned already, the graininess is a game effect and the fact that you are getting those ugly blocks is because you have turned the gamma up far too high. The game is meant to be played with lost of dark areas for which you need the old Taschenlampe to see properly (improperly).....Annoying I know.

tbh, FEAR 1 is a far superior game in every way imaginable. If you have a valid FEAR 2 key then the original is free to download as well.

For that Powercolor's price you can have this baby... but need a more powerful PSU...

For you guys saying theres a mod out there to get rid of the film effect no you don't need to worry about the mod if you have the full version of the game just update it to 1.02 version and bam it gives you the option to turn it on and off like i said in my previous post

Well, I own the full version of the game but have to use a bootleg (with my own genuine key) in order to get the cnut to run.

Its a STEAM thing you see, STEAM didn't seem to like my system and/or my virus checkers refusal to allow it to install Spyware on my PC.

Last time I pay to play anything with STEAM on it EVER!.

yeah i know but will he actually upgrade his PSU to 500W?

I'm sure a PSU like the one i'm using which is corsair 400w could power his pathetic system easily

well even if you have the bootleg version you can still update it you just need to downlaod it from a different place and all it is is someguy completely upgraded his version of FEAR 2 and then justtook the updated files and put them up for download and it works just fine shows up as version 1.02 and everything works

Nah man, he is actually serious I think. No reason to troll him guys.

I don't see why he likes superman but I am not going to bother him about it.

Whoa, 86 dollars for that type of card, hmmm i am temp , but no.

Um, my card fits fine , i said i didn't fit before, so i had to move the brown cord shown in the picture in a different position. And besides, the pci slot where my 8400gs is located at is suppose to be meant for a sound card, so thats why i said i have a fullx16 pcie slot, which has plenty of room and i will be buying 2 pcie cards sometime next month.

Serious about moving on to PCIE? Sure. I have no choice but to move on, not only because of the way my tower is setup , but i notice Vista doesn't like PCI cards very much. Vista + PCI cards = performance is down a bit from xp with certain games.

I don't see why he likes superman but I am not going to bother him about it.
Whats wrong with Superman?
Everyone is suppose to like superman and the movies and the tv show and the comics.
