X800 fuses data for unlocking

hi got a question how can i change the other registers values, can someone change them for me like the ones in the first post

yah i'm with shadowflare but i don't agree with him for the same reasons i think yours won't unlock cause gt's rarely do but i'm not 100% so i'd say don't give up yet ;)

don't use a x800xt/pro bios on that they use a different core use a x850 so there is no chance of getting a bad flash. :) (make shure it's a pcie x850 though ;))

so you already tried the x850 and it didn't unlock the pipes and your are shure you used the moded flashrom? if this is true then i'd say you are screwed :( sry dude :(
Yes, it might be unlockable, but based on the information given, it shouldn't be unlockable just by flashing the bios, since it should already be unlocked if it was possible to unlock it that way. A hardware mod might be able to unlock it, though.

Of course, there's no reason someone couldn't try flashing the bios on a card that isn't unlockable to possibly get an increase in performance as a result of things other than unlocking pipelines. As demonstrated with the Powercolor X800 GT, such a thing can happen.

You would have to ask W1zzard on that one, but I'm pretty sure that out of the values for the fuses data shown by ATITool, only CONFIG_ROM_FUSES is directly stored in the bios.

Yeah, I triead and don´t get the 12 pipes.... :banghead:

But i´m cool ... i´m happy with 7% from the R480 bios :toast:

Tks a lot !

i have SVGA 256Mb <PCI-E> DDR Sapphire Ultimate Edition <ATI RADEON X800 GTO> (OEM) 256bit +DVI+TV Out and SAMSUNG 2.0 RAM R480
is an unlocked Bios file: Sapphire X800 GTOІ in page http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/.../vidcard/127/2 (where bios file is
Sapphire.X800GTO2_16P.Samsung16.bin) will work in my card? or i need to find some differend bios file for my card? (for example Sapphire.X800GTO2_16P.Samsung20_DVI_TVOUT.bin).
Please tell me where i can find it, or i can use Sapphire.X800GTO2_16P.Samsung16.bin?????????

Well, partial success!

I managed to flash to an x850xt pe bios with fan control enabled and unlock 16 pipes. BUT when I did a restart, my temps went to hades and back. I was idling 75 degrees and underload it got up to 99 degrees before I aborted artifact scanning for fear of burning the card up. I backed the clock down to stock speed of 500/500 and it did not affect the temps, they were still high!

The thing I dont get is that I tested the card for an hour at xtpe speeds before I flashed to 16 pipes with no problems and the temp never exceeded about 72 degrees. As soon as I flashed to 16 pipes and the xtpe bios, the temp skyrocketed, even with the card underclocked. I do not understand this. Anyone have any idea why this might have happened?

Anyhow, I flashed back to an x850pro bios with 16 pipes enabled and all is well. Idle 40 degrees and load no more than 75. Maybe an arctic cooler will allow me to go back to the XTPE bios. But if anyone has any idea what may have caused the rediculous temps with the xtpe bios please do tell :)

I think the xt pe bios enables higher default voltages running through the card.

@eckybud
I believe u have 16pipes already with an xt ( or even if it was an xl ) so why not just overclock using a o/c tool, no need to flash bios.

From what I've seen, the X850 XT PE bios uses much lower fan speeds (< 5% at idle, I think). That's very likely the reason it was getting hotter. I tried it sometime after I installed a Zalman VF700-AlCu on my card, so it actually wasn't changing the fan speeds.

Both of those conclusions make perfect sense. I tried running the fan up to 100% but the temp kept rising and rising fast. I am running now at XTPE speeds on the x850Pro bios w/16 enabled and am scoring a shade over 5700 in 3DMark05.

I think i'll order aftermarket cooling and try the xtpe bios again just for fun. Thanks for the help guys, its really appreciated.

By the way, does anyone have a preference with aftermarket cooling solutions? Should I go with the ATI Silencer or the Zalman?

no they both use the sam e voltage the only ati cards out that i know of with voltage that is adjustable through the bios is the x1000 series :)

Chips

@dolf: (deepends on the way you look at the card ) pluged into the agp port, there are 8 ( 2 sets of 4 with 8 pins) chips in the lower left corner on the back side of the card ....

besides core and memory speeds being different between the cards the TRP memory timing on the x850pro is 6 and the xt/xtpe is 5.

maybe higher clock speeds require lower latancy to keep the pipes full.

Ye it has the 16 pipes and runs 500 / 500 i was thinking of trying to up it to pe speeds and if all ok stick a cooler on it and hard mode it. Im havin a bit of a trip with the drivers dont know whats best not impressed with the card as it is just now any ideas??
cheers Eck.

umh can anyone answer my question is it possible to change the other register settings if so can anyone do it for me

Ok ive been mucking around with my drivers and noticed in catalyst 5.10 and others my agp speed is at 0 when i select 8x and reboot its back to 0?????????? anybody know whats up???

my data

I sure hope I can turn this one into a monster ;)

Sapphire RADEON X800GTO FireBlade Edition R423

It has the "F"'s but I dont think it's a gto2 though....

Would be real nice if you could come to the rescue here W1zzard :)

H2O your fuses show that you will NOT have 16 pipes even flashing the BIOS. Sorry to say that but it is true :shadedshu . You can change the number of the active pipes in your original BIOS and to re-flash it but it won't help you.

CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES 0XFFFFFF9D
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES 0X862
GB_PIPE_SELECT 0X19940

can i mod it to 12 pipeline..
pls help me
